Honeywell Oil sensor/ Zero oil pressure

Hi Dynon, I solved the problem!...and have kept the Honeywell 956413 sensor. For the benefit of anyone following on with the same problem the installation manual has an ambiguous error on Chapter 7-44. In the text it states that the ground wire (if present) is to be connected. In fig 40...

Honeywell Oil sensor/ Zero oil pressure

Ok having had time to read the manual I can answer my own question...Use Pin 18 for +5vdc the same as the MAP sensor! I have another question though....On the VAF forum they talk about fitting a 330 microfarad capacitor between the Green and Black wire on Kavlico sensors. It doesn't mention...

Honeywell Oil sensor/ Zero oil pressure

Thanks Dynon, sound like a good plan. I see the Kavlico 101693-000 150psi has 1/8NPT which is great, the same as the Honeywell, however I think the Kavlico needs +5vdc so am I correct in thinking I need to use Pin 18....a splice off the Map sensor wire maybe? Alan.

    AP panel initial start up

Hi Dynon, Thanks for the pointers in the manual. Sometimes the answers to questions that arise are not to be found quite where you would expect them to be. As you say its a big manual for a very complex system. :) Alan.

    AP panel initial start up

Hi, I am at the intial wiring check/start up of my panel. I have 10'' Skyviews x2 with AP panel and Ray Allen stick trims wired through the AP panel. I have yet to set up or configure anything in the Skyviews. Currently the stick trims are inoperative and do nothing and I have a flashing red...

    Skyview Grounding

Hi, I am installing two Skyviews in a composite panel. I have in the back of my brain the notion that the case needs to be grounded in a composite panel but I cannot find where it says so in the installation manual. Can you confirm please that this is necessary and if so the size of the screw...

I am wiring a SV-AP Panel with Ray Allen aileron and elevator trim servos to eliminate trim separate trim controls or relays. SV-AP-PANEL wiring question

Dynon ...Can I ask another question please on this topic. With the autopilot on and Autotrim working, can the trim be still controlled by the trim on the stick?... or not? In other words do you have the option of letting autotrim work or doing it manually with the button on the stick. An...

    SV-AP-PANEL wiring question

Thanks for the thoughts Dynon. I have a feeling that it is going to be a long road convincing the UK LAA of the integrity of the SV-AP-PANEL and autotrim. I will probably need more help in the coming months over this before I get approval.

    SV-AP-PANEL wiring question

This is interesting.... In the UK the LAA are saying to me that they are not yet fully 'on board' with giving approval to the A/P SV-AP-PANEL controlling the trims and particularly Autotrim. They are suggesting to me that I may have to fit a disconnect or interrupt switch if I wire the trims...

    Dynon in Europe - Certification?

Do I suspect you have a factory built Sportcruiser that was imported into the UK on a Temporary EASA permit before the type had full EASA certifiication and are now being slammed by CSA (the factory)to get it on to Full EASA permit? This is going to get very expensive for you I think and why the...

    Skydemon

Well I talked to both Dynon and Skydemon recently at Aero's Friedrichshafen about getting Skydemon on Skyview and I came to the personal conclusion that it ain't going to happen anytime soon, if ever! I came away with the impression that whilst there is a willingness from Dynon to get an...

    Another ADSB question

Hi, Please do forgive my ignorance if this has been explained before and without getting into the pros and cons of legal compliance and its issues... The Dynon transponder has, as I understand it, an extended squitter so does this mean that mean that when installed with the SV-250 GPS in a...
