    RF since connecting audio

Thanks for the idea.... I can try I suppose if all else fails but may be a bit difficult to do due to the noise being intermittent.

    RF since connecting audio

Yes that is the setup one with battery and one without and both have audio...Good thought, thanks, that is easier than struggling to disconnect and then reconnect the backup battery. I will try that...

    RF since connecting audio

Yes, thanks, disconnect the battery maybe is the next step if that is the only lead on the problem I have. A bit of a pain to get at it on my installation though. :(

    RF since connecting audio

Hi Tim, No help I know but at least somone else is getting it and not just me. The noise has to be from the Skyview audio, but what is causing it is the mystery. Hmmm...Backup battery fault?..Do you think?.... Mine is a fairly recent twin Skyview installation and I haven't got around to...

    RF since connecting audio

No I think it it is interference of some kind. It doesn't seem like an alert or the AOA.....it is just two 'whoop whoops' and then silence and then again 'whoop whoop' a few minutes later Sometimes it is very faint and other times it is quite loud. I have found that if I recycle the avionics...

    RF since connecting audio

Hi When I first installed my twin Skyviews I didn't connect the audio wiring for whatever reason and the comm, a Trig TY91 worked fine with no RF or anything like that. I have now wired both Skyviews to the Trig TY91 and receive the audio warnings and messages all fine except that I now get an...

    Skydemon

I have been asking Tim at Skydemon for this for the past couple of years without any success.... Go ahead keep pushing but I am not now hopeful of it happening and I am sort of getting used to PFMS and EasyVFR although it is not the same league of useability as Skydemon. If we could get Skydemon...

    Audible warnings

Hi , I have SV D1000 x 2. SV-A/P Panel. Trig TY91 Comm. I am not getting any audible warnings and rather suspect it is because of a miswiring issue. I wonder if you could you clarify the pinout to/from wiring connections I need to receive audible warnings or maybe point me in the right...

    Compass ground calibration

Thanks guys for the input. I think I will try the in-flight calc and then accept whatever I get.  I accept hand flying to a couple of degrees doesn't matter but I also have autopilot to consider and in addition it will also affect the winds aloft indication I think shown on the SV.

    Compass ground calibration

Hi, I had both my whisky compass and my Skyviews calibrated today by a professional avionics company. Using the Dynon SV wizard was straightforward enough but I now have between +1 and +3degrees error showing on the SV's in all cardinal points compared to the whisky compass which was calibrated...

    Ammeter reads backwards

Hi, Skyviews x2 I am doing initial flights and checking SV parameters etc and my ammeter readings appear to be backwards. i.e. On the ground engine not running with both Skyviews turned on it will read +4.5amps I would have expected it to read -4.5amps. Is it just a case of me needing to swap...

    Panels

An important feature for fitting the A/P panel for me was it gives you Autotrim and Trim speed scheduling, of course always providing you have Ray Allen trim controls and your trim/s are wired through the A/P panels integral relays. There is then no need for any other relays at all to work your...

    update a new skyview-

Can I chime in here please. What sort of approximate download time is normal for updates? Are we talking minutes or longer. Just thinking about required battery state etc... Thanks, Alan.

    Skydemon

Hi Dynon, I am nearly ready to start flying my bird and whilst I understand flight plans can now be downloaded from Skydemon to Skyview a while back Skydemon data was not available on Skyview. I currently have a Pocket FMS/EasyVFR subscription but would personally prefer Skydemon for mapping...

    Fuel Gauge calibration

OK Dynon, Thanks for that I wrongly it turns out assumed it was comparing the two tanks. So maybe I am good to go after all. Time will tell I guess. Thanks again, Alan

    Fuel Gauge calibration

Well I did it, carefully writing down each 5litre pour and pressing the button. 2x 60 litre tanks on a Bristell NG5. However when I had finished and exited the calibration pages I got a message saying there was a mismatch between the two wing tank readings and did I want to accept this or not. I...

    Fuel Gauge calibration

Thanks for all the tips... Thinking about what mmarien says about ensuring battery not low when doing this I assume that I only need one of my two Skyviews fired up when doing this? I have an EarthX lithium battery and now concerned about running it low during the calibration process.

    Fuel Gauge calibration

Hi, Twin 10'' Skyviews. Tomorrow I am going to do the first time calibration of my fuel gauges so I am just reading the manual to see how to do it. It will probably be obvious once I get into it but just asking the question... It say I have '10 pours'. Is this 10 pours total ( I have two wing...

    VDO Coolant sensor

The issue was spurious readings, like minus 85degrees! I did as you suggested and earthed the sensor body and hey-ho I now get correct readings. It is obvious really I suppose but someone else pointing out the obvious sometimes is all that it takes.... :) Thanks again for the help. Alan

    VDO Coolant sensor

Hi, I have installled a T piece in the water coolant line on a Rotax 912uls and fitted a VDO temp sensor (supposed to be the same as Rotax CHT sensor) connected to Pin10 on the Skyview EMS. I now seem to be having an issue with configuring it. I must admit that it never occured to me that this...
