    AoA Calibration

Your statement is internally inconsistent. Dynon say says you can calibrate the AOA based on various stalls, then goes on to say the AOA is based on the deepest stall (greatest AOA). Dynon does not give any way for you to have more than one AOA baseline nor is there any way for the airplane to...

    AGL on Skyview display?

Just curious, what AGL point does one desire? Right under the airplane? Some point on the current track? Something else? Fixed or definable?

    ALT/Amps not showing anything

You should perhaps address your objection on 26 AWG wire to Dynon. "There are two methods for accomplishing this. You may simply connect two 1 amp fuses in-line between the shunt and the SV-EMS-220. Or, you may use butt splices to connect 1” to 2” (25mm to 50mm) sections of 26 AWG wire between...

    ALT/Amps not showing anything

Instead of fuses I used 26 gauge wire, per the install manual.

    Roll Servo Offline

I have SV42 pitch and roll servos. Pitch always works. Roll usually is listed in red as offline. When it does work it seems to work correctly. I have verified I have power and ground to the servo side of the DB9 plug. Tweaking, prodding, pushing ,etc. doesn't change anything. In talking to...

Engine area CFG? Red X BAR

SETUP MENU > EMS SETUP > SCREEN LAYOUT EDITOR Then you can select them and move them so they are separate and you can determine better what you're working with, I think. Not an expert.

    Anyone Tried ChartData Manager 6.6.0.2?

They don't need programmers. They need User Interface people.

    HDX EMS Screen Layout

I'd appreciate any tips on using the HDX EMS screen editor. I have read the manual (although I won't promise I understand it all) and I have spent considerable time "fooling around" with the screen editor. 1. How do you move the widgets around on the screens? 2. Does anyone have any examples...

    Anyone Tried ChartData Manager 6.6.0.2?

I will confess, I have low confidence in Seattle Avionics and will delay installing the new version of ChartData manager until I get some sense from the field that it is working satisfactorily.

Seattle Avionics chart data… yet again

That part seems to take for ever after you see West Virginia. I suppose it is my fault, but if I designed the user interface I'd make the progress and completion a little more obvious - including for example a temperature bar showing nearness to completion. I used to load two at once but it...

    Inst Manual -AJ Heading Question

The SkyView System Installation Manual Revision AJ has me confused. On the top of each odd-numbered page in Chapter 24 is this heading. Appendix C: Wiring and Electrical Connections. On the top of each even numbered page is the heading: Appendix D: SV-EMS-220/221 Sensor Input Mapping...

Sees B/U Battery but text "greyed" out

I already stated the label showed YES. You are saying that it is normal to be greyed out? Thanks for the confirmation. Just seem odd to me, as I'm used to seeing a positive label in bold, bright font.

Sees B/U Battery but text "greyed" out

My HDX 16.0.4 sees the 320 B/U battery, but in the menu line LOCAL DISPLAY SETUP, the text BATTERY CONNECT YES is greyed out. Is this normal?

    CHT Displays Instead of Coolant

I have a newer Rotax 912ULS with coolant rather than CHT sensors. I select CLNT rather than CHT on the setup screen but the display doesn't change from CHT to COOL. HDX with 16.0.4. Here's the menu. SETUP MENU->EMS SETUP->ENGINE INFORMATION->DISPLAY COOLANT INSTEAD OF CHT->CLNT But, when I...

Autopilot Rolls Into Turns Like A Fighter Pilot

Do you want the autopilot to fly a standard rate turn (3°/second) or just something comfortable? A standard rate turn rule of thumb is speed divided by 10 plus 7 (Instrument Flying Handbook).
