I agree that having terrain is far more important at night than day , so why would there be a reason to turn this feature off in the next release? I can see a reason to allow dimming overall, but I have never seen a reason to have to this at night.

Karl; Did you unplug the battery from the display and try booting up? The battery charge may be fine, its the connection that is the issue, although the SB was supposed to fix this there still can be an issue with the battery.

When you say create a waypoint, I assume a virtual VOR? Track is a great feature I used quite often. I would prefer the hdg be added, there is a button for it so why use it?
