    Map page track readout

Check your User log files. If the Date and Time column (Column D) shows "Unknown_Date_Time" then you need the newest version of software 15.4.4. The GPS Epoch event affects date/ time/ GPS course. There is additional info on other threads about this. Kurt

In Flight Wind speed off by 30 kts.

I just flew with 15.4.4 and it corrected the "Unknown Date & Time" in the user logs and the GPS Course / Winds aloft bad calculation. Thanks, Kurt

Let me know if you need me to send a diag. dump file? Kurt

In Flight Wind speed off by 30 kts.

I loaded 15.4.3 Software and flew this evening. It corrected the GPS Course and the Winds Aloft calculation, However, logfiles still show "Unknown_Date_Time" in the GPS Date & Time column. Dynon will have to answer this one?

In Flight Wind speed off by 30 kts.

You need to contact Dynon Support. They will send you a link to Version 15.4.3 that will correct the GPS issue. It should correct your "Unknown Time" and the GPS Course (Winds aloft) issue. Kurt

In Flight Wind speed off by 30 kts.

Based on another post regarding the "GPS250 missing time" I downloaded my User Data Files. I see the "Unknown Time" in the GPS Date & Time column. I am convinced my problem is associated with the needed GPS250 software update. Dynon? What do you think? Kurt

In Flight Wind speed off by 30 kts.

I would agree with you except why does the GNS430W show different from SV by 28kts? All the data is from same source( Skyview) except the GPS course. Why does the GNS430W gps course and the GNC250XL GPS course differ from SV GPS course by 7 degrees? Before about 2 weeks ago the GNS430W and SV...

In Flight Wind speed off by 30 kts.

I have some additional info that makes me believe this is a Dynon GPS issue. Perhaps related to the GPS time missing (parsing issue) on older GPS250 pucks. When I view the GPS Course on the GNS430W or my GPS250XL they agree with each other but the Skyview GPS Course is different; to the right...

In Flight Wind speed off by 30 kts.

I noticed on my last two flights the Dynon Skyview wind speed is off by ~25 to 30 kts.  The wind direction is correct as I compare it to the D-100 and the GNS430W.  I used to see all 3 be reasonably close to each other with the GNS430W exact same as Skyview.  Does the GNS430W not get all the...

    out of serial ports

The ELT needs a NMEA formatted GPS signal. If any of the other outputs are set to NMEA you can double up the connection match the baud rate on the ELT settings. The ACK has jumpers for Rx rate. Or, depending on what other GPS navigator you have you can move the ELT to an unused port on it...

    Fuel Flow Snags

If the fuel flow drops when the boost pump is ON you are getting air into your fuel lines. Probably between the Electric pump and the engine driven pump. Check lines for tightness and fuel stains. It is possible to have air sucking in without fuel leaking out (no stain). Another possibility...

    Skyview Screen layout **Newbie Question**

You can move or remove any of the displays (Map, PFD, and engine) to any position (L, C, or R).  No problem having the PFD portion on the RH side of display. I think it is 50/50 when you have only 2 panels open.

    D100 off axis mounting

Dynon, I have a D100 set up as my standby flight display as it is totally independent of the skyview system. My D100 is installed in my Glasair on the Future Vision instrument panel. This panel has the inserts canted to favor the pilots viewing angle (about 10 degrees). See attached photo...

    D-180 ammeter and voltage drop

Rob, Based on your description the problem has to be bad connection on the alternator side of the shunt, the ANL 60 fuse/ holder, alternator itself, or field wiring / field circuit breaker. Check all the connections between these points. Just because the alternator has been replaced does not...

    D-180 ammeter and voltage drop

It may help if you tell what brand of alternator (external regulator?) and how the shunt is connected. Is it configured as an alternator load meter or a battery charge/ discharge indicator. I assume it is in a Vans RV7 ? But it sounds like something in the alternator circuit is intermittent...

    430W-ARINC429-SV1000T dropout

I had the GPS HSI (magenta info block and needle) blank out on 4 occasion in quick repetition, each about 1~2 second long.  This lasted for about 20 seconds total.  It was VFR so I immediately downloaded the diagnostic file. The problem occurred on 12/31/2018 approximately 16:39 to 1645 Z. Hope...

    Fuel Flow Calibration shift

I had issues with inaccurate fuel flow readings specifically when i flew longer, higher altitude flights, >9000 ft. I would notice fuel pressure fluctuating when I started my initial cruise and I turned OFF the boost pump. The fuel was being heated from the climb and due to the higher altitude...

    430W-ARINC429-SV1000T dropout

I have loaded the new SV software 15.3.4 but still see my HSI needle and info block blank out for a second or so. (all magenta blanks out). Saw it yesterday on a short 1 hour flight. Even though the change notes say: Fixed: A bug that caused ARINC to occasionally drop out. I was hand flying...

    D-180 Tachometer rapid fluctuation

Regarding the P-Mag tach signal it is coincident with the firing. The falling edge of tach is when the coil fires the plug. So, they both should be firing at the same time. Check your timing and check the manifold pressure connection. if one p-mag has a leak it will not advance as much...
