Step Change in Audio Alert, AOA and Stall Warner volume on Skyview HDX

I have a similar issue. When you test the volume of the AOA system on the ground even with the engine started all is fine using the test tones in the audio setup. When you are in the air the AOA system is silent but the other Skyview alerts come through fine. The changes I have made are a bit...

    GPS Problems on Dynon D1000

I noticed a change in performance when I upgraded from the 250 to the 2020. The 250 would aquire a position in the hanger with the doors open the 2020 would not. Pulling the aircraft outside solves the problem but have not seen it taking any significant time to lock on.

    AoA Calibration

When we were doing the flight testing on an RV12 we went through the calibration process which appeared to be working however it would not retain the result. Investigation revealed the tubing from the probe was pinched and blocking the air. All went well once the tube was freed up. One other...

    High EGT

Try swapping the probe to another cylinder and see what happens. If that does not change the result try the probe on another input to the D-180 that way you can eliminate either the probe or the D-180 Input.

    SOFTWARE MISMATCH

The procedure i used to do it was to do the software load on my 10” with the 7” turned off. once the load of the new software is complete you will have to update all the individual components in the system and if you go to the network page you will see an update prompt. Once that is done turn...

    Message/alert acknowledgment

Or as suggested in the manual connect a battery charger to your aircraft battery turn on the master switch and leave the Skyview running. It works for me. Just make sure the battery charger produces more amps than the Skyview uses.

    D37 Harness Wiring

Pins 14 and 15 are the important ones and you could use either pins 13 or 16 as the ground. The ground pins are there to provide a ground termination for any of the various sensors connected. when I looked at what had been done on the aircraft I purchased the installer had run all of the black...

    Ray Allen-Auto Trim wire diagram

Mine worked exactly as per the installation manual using the autopilot panel and the Ray Allen servo unit. Not sure why you would need to change anything. So I have to disagree with your statement.

Does SkyView FD Work On The Ground?

I am not sure that this is what you are looking for but you can engage the autopilot and flight director on the ground when still. As soon as you move you will be below the minimum speed for autopilot operation and you should get a message to tell you. The autopilot follows the flight director...

Kavlico sensor question... KAV vs Dynon part numbers

Just check you have the latest engine sensor definitions loaded. I believe the latest version is 68996. This is a separate file to load and is not contained within the skyview update.

Audio Warnings for Single Seat Aircraft - No Audio Panel or Intercom

Depends on the radio you have. Most radios these days allow a music or audio input and you could connect to that. I had an xcom radio that allowed it and it worked fine.

    Autopilot installation

I suspect the autopilot is attempting to apply corrections and the aircraft is not responding to them because it’s on the ground so it’s trying more correction etc etc. My suggestion is as long as the calibration completes successfully all should be ok
