That is true. More specifically, the D1/D2 MUST only see 5V DC at its connector. Hooking 12V to it directly will damage it.

That's odd. What does the GPS FIX STAUS page show (note that it will only show info for the SV-GPS-2020, not the ARINC device)? Also, if you entirely disable the -2020 or the ARINC device in setup, does that change any behavior or give any clues?

Sorry, I meant HS34. The top two serial ports are configurations for the HS34 (if you had one). Since you don't, it's the local EFIS serial port that is relevant.

Since you do not have an AP74, the menu item that is relevant here is the EFIS SERIAL line under "LOCAL DATA PORT". What is that set to? Also, where do you have your serial output going from the 796?

First thing to double-check is that your sensor type is set correctly. What engine are we talking about here? Which sensor? And what sensor type do you have your D180 set to?
