The textual nav info that appears to the right of the HSI does not always show the station identifier. When nav source is internal or SL30 driven the Station ID and distance show up. When navigating from GPS 1 ( Garmin 430 ) and Nav 1 (Garmin 430) only the distance to waypoint shows up. Is this...
I am talking about using the CWS button to initally activate the autopilot. My Skyview system behaves the same regardless of the setting choice. It always wants to fly the airplane to the heading bug where ever it is. The bug does not sinc to the currant heading when CWS is activated.
Thanks
In both modes of CWS my system will sinc the altitude to the current altitude. However the heading will not sinc and trys to turn the aircraft where ever the bug is on the HSI. Is this normal, dosent seem to be very efficent because I usuayl use CWS when my work load is high and you need to...
My understanding is that the base unit of the WX-WORX XM reciever are all the same with diferent interface mogules conected ( USB out, serial conection ect ). Which of them have you been working with?
I would love to see Dynon create a stand alone modgule that had a headung, altitude, and coarse knobs. In the IFR environment when you are being asigned ALT ,HDG and trying to set coarse all at once as well as Baro the single knob is to combersum
On Skyview system would it be posable to have the heading sink to curent heading when the CWS is used. As it is it defalts to wherever the heading bug happens to be. I find CWS is most valuable when you are realy busy and having to reach down and adjust the heading bug to match curent heading...
In regards to the HSI and 430 combo, I have noticed that when you select GPS 0 ( internal with no destination there is no neadle present on the HSI. If you select the GPS1 (430) with no destination programed the neadle is present but dosent move. Why the diferance?
I use a D10A as a backup to my Skyview driven by a SL30. I also was compleatly supprised that I was only able to set runway heading using soft keys when the ILS is captured. This is a very busy time during the approach. Realy bad when they turn you in close.
On a recent flight the HSI would twitch back and forth about 30 degrees at a rate of once per secons. I was on GPS 1 (Garmin430) with no destination programed in the reciever. Worked fine when I entered a destination. Any thoughts?
