    Transponder - operational check

Did you use a premade wiring harness for the 262 ? If not, can you show a diagram of what you connected on your website ? Jake J

    OAT Discrepancy

If you have an RV (flying) then inside the wing root area is where I'd put the 2 wire OAT - 3 wire types in the tail area. HTH Jake J

    OAT Discrepancy

Skysailor Yes it's important as you may get heat transfer, especially when using cabin heat that's why attaching to cabin air inlet is not a good idea unless the cabin side is cover with some good insulation to stop the heat transfer. ;) HTH Jake J

    RV12 Fuel tank readings

Maybe you could fill up the tanks and add the negative quantity to the full amount ? ;) Jake J

    Erratic Tach Readings

Hugo PPR will be 1 or 2, trying different numbers won't hurt the Dynon. Tach reading 0 indicates you probably have an intermittent connection, maybe the resistor is broken. Use your MM (multimeter) to check continuity while wriggling the wires. HTH Jake J

    Garmin GTN750

It's here already but I'd suggest looking at the website is a good place to start, look for the latest software version & Release Notes  ;)  --- http://www.dynonavionics.com/docs/RevLog_SkyView.html Jake J

    Skyview, VPX & autotrim

In a word, no.  Most Auto trim systems use the existing electric elevator trim - conversely most do not have auto roll trim. Auto Trim usually applies to Altitude Hold and is an additional feature that auto pilot manufacturers have for their systems as an additional cost item.  With this...

CHT/EGT rise when PTT is depressed

I'm working on this issue with a 'poster' and will post the results here when it's resolved. FWIW - I've found if you have good quality coax (eg RG400) and component grounding, that prevents 95% of problems.  However there are many other factors involved including quality of connectors, proper...

Tach inputs with Slick Start mag booster.

DS The std Dynon Tach setup using the P-leads works well with the Slickstart system, I've recently connected an IO-540 this way. ;) Jake J

    Skyview, VPX & autotrim

"I suspect it's a little disappointing the VP-X didn't go like wild fire after all the noise we made about it." IMO the uptake will be slow initially until we become aware of the benefits and features of the VP systems - I recently installed the VP-X into a RV10 but the timing of the Dynon/VP...

CHT/EGT rise when PTT is depressed

I do a lot of installations on all types of aircraft so I may be of help to you. What type of aircraft do you have ? Composite or ally ? Did changing to RG 400 (the only type to use IMO) do anything ? Jake J :)

HS34 Connection to KLN-90B GPS and Tru-Trak AP

FYI - there are specifications re 'field of view' for this situation, the specs are now included in most installation manuals for Tso'd equipment or you could contact your local avionics shop for details. HTH Jake J

Connecting Dynon EFIS with GTX327 Transponder

Marcel Turn off the GTX outputs on the CHNL you're using, that should work. Icarus Alt IN is all that is required. ;) Jake J

    NEED, OR NOT, ARINC 429

The Dynon 429 Arinc converter is just that, a converter to enable the Dynon to use Arinc  ;) however if you just want Gps 'tracking' ie Direct To or following a flight plan (overfly waypoint and then turns to next track) then use the serial data. If turn anticipation (GPSS) is wanted you will...

    Adahrs compass calibration

FWIW- If Im unable to get an ADAHRS more than 15" from my preferred initial location then it goes to a second option - never had a location that was a problem.  Installed  15 + so far  ;)  Keep at it, the results will be worth it & get rid of the stainless steel screws, I use brass or...

    SV-NET-SPL - Help me

Carlos Q1. yes Q2. yes - but use #20 awg for the power/ground for servos, do not use the network power/grounds. Q3. yes Q4 & 5. - the information is in the install manual, hopefully that is suffficient given the answers above :) Jake J

Servo stuck in TST after calibration. HELP!

Check the disconnect switch ... there has been a case of someone inadvertently using a NC switch as opposed to a NO type ;) also do you have the resistor fitted ? Jake J

Suggestion: Could really use ADF from NDBs

IMO a 'backup' Gps would be of far more value, and much cheaper, than an ADF :) Jake J

Suggestion: Could really use ADF from NDBs

NDB's are on borrowed time here, some are up to 40 years old - if I was a manufacturer there is no way I'd spend time doing the interface even if it was possible. It is the 21st century now ;) Jake J

    Tach Erratic

I'd try adding a ferrite core to the power input wire - simple, cheap & hopefully effective ;) Jake J
