I think that Axel's idea of using the Skyview database to drive one of the BRG pointers is pretty cool. Add me to the list of people that would like to have this feature.

It sure would be nice to tilt my 7" skyview 90 degrees sideways and use it in Portrait mode. Then I would have room for another one. Any future plans for portrait mode support?

I use the tach sender on both the D10A and the Skyview. Works fine for me and I dont worry about losing RPM when changing mags. Regards, Tom Velvick Phoenix, AZ

Hi Brian, This happened to me too. There is a fix for it if you call tech support. To get out of the reset loop, unplug your ems cable from the skyview box. You will have to go into the EMS settings file and change a setting. If you send me your email address I can send you the instructions...

Make sure you install the 2 extra wires to the servo for the second bus for Skyview. You will not use them for the D10A but its a pain to add them later. Regards, Tom Velvick

The altitudes on the Class B airspace are really hard to make out on the 4.0 software with black lettering on blue.  Is there a way to adjust this?

Are there additional gps sentences that you can enable on the 480? On the Garmin 496, I had to go into the advanced NMEA setup menu and enable one of the additional sentences to get skyview to work with it. Same symptoms as yours. I forget which sentence I enabled but will look tonight at...

Can you redo your AP Servo Calibration to see if that fixes the problem?  During the calibration process, the type of servo is assigned based on the movements of the control stick and the changes in the readings from the servo.  If the control stick wasn't moved according to the instructions...

I upgrade my D10A with AP74 and the EMS-D10 one at a time with all  connected so I don't see why you cant do the same.  Actually I think you cant do it any other way at least for the D100 and D120 since they use separate connectors for uploading new firmware.  The AP74 gets updated in sequence...

No, the same 5.2 PC program updates the EFIS and the EMS. Are you referring to the release notes which are different?

Yes, 5.2 will update it from 4.0 without any incremental updates needed.

Check if there is some kind of firewall setting that is blocking the outgoing port on the laptop. I had to disable the firewall setting for that port on mine.

I used molex connectors and wrapped tie wraps around them in a figure 8 pattern to make sure they didnt come updone.

The current AHRS just takes a few seconds to resync even if you exceed the roll rate so I suspect in actuall practice, it would work just fine for you.
