I also drop the RPM in rain with my wood prop, but I will never sacrifice climb or speed if something isn't right. Props can be repaired planes not so easy. Besides I have a lot of rain time on mine at 2600 RPM and it holds well, but will need touching up down the road. ;)

First off the battery ck is a good idea. As most found out like me it was difficult to figure out if we were doing the check correctly. I for one would think that on the Battery pre check there would be a note on what to expect during the check. As it seems now, no countdown clock and the screen...

As of now I don't see the need to display the primary and standby frequencies on SV. With 3 taps on my anywhere map I have all the freq's I need. Then dial them into the SL-30, no need to play with the screen on SV.   :P

I now have it set up, but the box has a red x through it. I do need to redo the fuel calibration. Would that be the problem?

Where can I find the location in the install or operations manual to display MPH? :o  I have all the required components.

Not a problem, but will look at the way I'm powering it and see if I can find a solution or cause.  Other than that very happy with it! :)

I only have about 6 hours on my SV. What I notice is that in order to turn it on (using master switch) I must turn the power on once and while everything else powers up the SV does not! So I turn power off then back on and now SV powers up. Every time it requires the power switch to be cycled...

It's like a secret order at In and out. ;)

Standard wire for senders. The strobes are shielded from box, to lights, power is non-shielded. Also read the install manual for the product your installing and it should inform you of the wiring size and type. ;)

I tested my SV 10 inch last night with my Icom 24 hand held. What I found was RF Interference with the squelch level below 22 was was active, above 23 to 24 all worked normal. I then placed the radio within 4 inches of the screen with the squelch at 24 the squelch went off again. There is no way...

(That said, it's not inconceivable that we'll do an AP control panel for SkyView, but that's not a promise.) So glad you're working on it!! ;)

Something else to think about, as I will. I have an extra comm antenna in my other winglet with the connector behind the instrument panel.  I'll fabricate a extension coax cable to plug into the hand held just in case I need a backup radio, and assuming RF is a problem in my plane for a hand...

The whole thing sounds strange to me. I realize you are having a problem, first off you have a several thousand dollar (USD) EFIS system and you choose to use a $150.00 (USD) hand held radio in front of it. Do you have a panel mounted comm radio? If so have you tried yet to see if the RF is...

Is this what you are referring to... (While not required, you may install a 4.7 - 5.3k ohm resistor across the AP Disengage/CWS button. This allows SkyView to detect a break in this circuitry and alert the pilot if this resistor is present in the installation.)? :o
