    EMS - EGT Difference

I'm currently installing and configuring an HDX with EMS system and can't find anything that'll alarm when the EGT temperatures differ. My last plane had a JPI and I set the "diff" to alarm with 200 degrees difference between any two EGTs. I found this very useful in detecting FF, spark plug...

    D10A with HDX System

    Makes sense. Thank you.

    D10A with HDX System

The D10A just doesn't seem to be the best match as a backup attitude indicator for the HDX system. I'm reviewing everything now as part of my pre-installation planning and it appears to lack lighting control. Since it needs to stay on at all times to be a valuable backup, when night flying...

91.411 Checks on an HDX System

Thanks Airguy. My static ports are up front on my airplane, and difficult to get to without removing a lot of the interior. Historically, the avionics techs have disconnected the static line from the altitude encoder (Ack A-30 or similar) and at the altimeter.

91.411 Checks on an HDX System

I'm planning an STC HDX installation in my Cardinal and am curious as to how the Static/Altimeter/Encoder check is done every two years. I ask because if the technician needs access to the ADAHRS static port and/or the D10A static port, I'll plan my installation to make these more easily...

    Now Approved: Nearly 600 Aircraft

This is great news and I'd like to get some clarification on purchasing. I understand the STC is $2000, and if that is purchased, am I free to buy the products at the best price I can find them, either new or used? For example, If I buy a new 10" HDX and most of the other stuff from Spruce...

GDL 90 protocol for ADSB on Skyview

+1 I would like to install a Skyview system when my plane gets added to the AML and don't want to (actually, won't) pull the existing GDL90 system out just to replace it with a proprietary system that offers nothing more than I already have other than a lighter wallet. Garmin came out with the...

    EFIS-D10A STC Usage

Thanks Ray. Do you know, once the STC Skyview (and backup D10A) system is installed, can the backup D10A also be used as a nav head/HSI for installed nav radios (my IFD540 and one other TBD radio)?

    EFIS-D10A STC Usage

Thank you for the prompt and concise reply. I guess my only path would be to find a cheap CDI to use with the IFD540 for now. I'd consider a G5, and would plan to use it as the third attitude display with the Skyview/D10A package, but the G5, as best as I can tell, must be purchased as...

    EFIS-D10A STC Usage

My Cessna has steam gauges, and will eventually have a Skyview system when the 177RG gets added to the AML.  When that happens, I'd like to have three independent attitude displays - the Skyview, and two D10As. While I'm waiting for the STC, I'll install an Avidyne IFD540 and would like to...

Trying to work thru ADS-B options

I currently have an Avidyne IFD540 and plan to display TIS-B and FIS-B on it, and as soon as my aircraft gets added to the AML, I'd like to install a Skyview system in the plane. I would want to display TIS-B and FIS-B on the Skyview screen too., as well as on a tablet or phone, preferably...

Skyview Capabilities from 2 Nav Sources

I've read the manuals and searched as much as I could, and still have some questions about the Skyview system and how it relates to other avionics. I plan to install the complete STC'd system (10" Skyview, D10A backup, autopilot, AOA, etc.) in my Cardinal when it becomes available and would...
