    Capacitance fuel guages

The 4.95 at the top right is the voltage that Skyview is reading from the sensor pin. It should change with the fuel level. I'm not sure why it would show 4.95 while the calibration shows 0.04. Maybe a dumb question, but did you actually rewire the pins when your changed them to pins 22 and 23?

    Glide Ratio and External Video

I like the idea of the glide ratio. One way to depict it would be to have SV draw a circle on the map page around the current location that would be the limits of glide. It should dynamically change in size and shape with the current glide ratio, altitude and local terrain. It would quickly show...

    Altitude voice announcements

The 500 foot warning only happens if you are landing at an airport that is in the Garmin database. You won't get that warning if the airport is in the PocketFMS database but not in the Garmin database. You will get the "terrain pull up" warning from the Garmin unit if you land at a strip that's...

    Checklists?

Maybe they'll come up with some sort of battery backup so the EFIS keeps running with the master off.  :-? It's probably a good idea to wait for the EFIS to boot so that the oil pressure can be checked on start. I turn on the master before I load the passengers so they have something to look at...

    "Flight" Timers

Sounds a bit OCD. I been using the Dynon's flight time (ICAO air time) and just add 0.2 hours to determine what I record as flight time. Am I going to get arrested if I get ramp checked? Here in Canada our Senators are way more creative than that in calculating their expenses and they don't seem...

    Capacitance fuel guages

Have you done the single point calibration with an empty tank?

    Altitude voice announcements

My 495 gives the 500 foot call out only if I'm landing at an airport in the database, otherwise it gives a "terrain terrain pull up pull up"warning. Maybe you're missing the runway? Are you able to see over the front of that bird on flare? ;D ;D

    Proprietary IFR GPS?

I use my handheld GPS all the time for VFR navigation. But after reviewing the three pages of warnings in the manual it's unlikely I'd trust it to navigate through a cloud let alone IMC.

    Capacitance fuel guages

You can get the Princeton fuel probes that don't need calibration prior to calibrating with Dynon. Order it with just one set point. Reset it with an empty tank and it's ready for the Dynon calibration.

    Checklists?

I was wavering a bit on the checklists. I bought Checkmate for my Android cell phone and spend a lot of time updating it but find that I pick up the checklist card rather than pull out my cell phone. Force of habit maybe. I should chuck the paper copy which would change that habit. What I did...

    Altitude voice announcements

I believe the 500 ft callout above the airport elevation is from a Garmin product ;)

    USB Ports

Everything in and out of Skyview is by USB. firmware updates aviation and obstacle database uploads log file downloads screen shots (buttons 2 and 7) flight plans waypoints etc.

    Servo Wiring to Network

I considered covering it. When I did the risk analysis it didn't warrant it. The area is sealed behind the rear bulkhead so there is little change of debris accumulating. It is off the bottom skin by the depth of the block which is about a quarter inch and the deck slants so if there was debris...

    MAP Sensor Calibration

I think it's normal for the MAP to be lower than the barometric pressure based on your altitude. I think the rule is one inch/1000 feet. See below. Also check out this article: Manifold Pressure Sucks

    New EGT probe different

I always wondered if EGT probes were calibrated. and did they deteriorate with age. Turns out that they are a consumable as they don't last forever. :( According to Mike Busch the absolute EGT doesn't mean a lot. His method of leaning doesn't use EGT's and his twin TIO550s have been running for...

    Pin #1 for voltage

You can connect the EMS D37p1 (or p2) to any source to measure the voltage at that point. Page 7-29 of the install manual. I installed a 1A fuse to protect the 22 AWG wire.
