    It appears you have not RTFM’d to get the info ? In your case you have not setup the engine parameters. Dynon equipment doesn’t know - How many engine cylinders Fuel Fuel injection or Carby etc Lycoming or Continental or UL Ignition type/s etc etc, you get the drift I hope ?

    You can, as long as you have a wifi ‘dongle’ & you will not be able to use that flightplan unless you have a Dynon gps antenna or input from a portable/panel mount VFR gps as a minimum.

    That happened to me once - a person purchased a PTT switch from me & replaced it with another one later - problem was the ‘new’ switch was a NC type (normally closed) instead of an NO ( normally open used for PTT) Both switches look the same but functions are very different, go figure 🙄.

    IMO - Underside of fuselage is not the place for it due airflow issues from the engine, I‘d install the OAT on the underside of a wing.

    Hi Remy - Enter SETUP MENU> EMS SETUP> SCREEN LAYOUT EDITOR (100%, 50%,20% page etc) press SENSOR or INFO> select FLAP & press REMOVE & then SAVE - should be good to go😉.

    Changing the ranges won’t help here - it’s a setup/ connection issue. mark hasn’t been in contact since his post so he probably figured it out - would be thoughtful if he posted that it is sorted🤔.

    There is a way - read the install manual info re Rotax connections - a hint 😉 you need to connect a wire to the coolant ( head temperature) probe & set up the sensor definitions 👍

    Mark, you should give us more info please, one liners are not helpful 😉 Which model SV system ? What model, part number sensor do you have ? Has it always had the same fault ? if it’s a Kavlico sensor are you using an earth directly (can be paired) from the SV ? Which software/ sensor files ?

    Yeah, semantics, however being clearer about the act of transmitting causing possible RF issues may explain it better for the inexperienced/less knowledgeable? 😉 My memory is that the issue re RF causing ‘spikes’ etc was more pronounced with the SV Classics & remote mounted EMS-220 etc...

    Mazer - have you tried unplugging the return line unit ? Swap the units too & do the same ‘test’ when engine running on the ground out in the open ? Also, there is this however it’s different to your situation but could/may still apply , FYI —- The insulated wire (white covering) is too stiff...

    Just had to answer Rhino - actually there was a time when the Dynons would show, sometimes significant, ‘spikes’ in the EMS when transmitting- this was ’fixed‘ by using filtered dsub connectors & then new screens had better resistance to RF/EMI since then. So, yes the PTT action can cause issues. 😉

    Mike - OAT install info is as RV8JD says, particularly the info re the NACA vents. Cabin side temps will be different & have an impact. As for the Comms antenna placement - they do not affect the ADAHRS units ( by the way, Dynon have a simple cheap kit to enable stacking them on top of each...

    Also …. I’m wondering why you didn’t but the prefabricated ADAHRS mount (mounted aft of the baggage bulkhead) from Vans ? I have installed a few of them & easy to do - much easier & better than the old way 😉.
