    SV-intercom-2s music input

Bob has a Searey Amphibian. Fiberglass, and he can't put an antenna on the bottom. For others looking to help, he has more details in the other thread he joined: http://dynonavionics.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1398673660/17#17 An interesting observation of his:

Skyview + Autopilot + VHF Nav Coupled integration

The only thing the VAL does not do is decode the ident for the station. That's done inside the NAV receiver, not SkyView, and as you can see above we just show ----- when from a Val.

How Many Circuit Breakers To Power Skyview

The wire and connectors are rated at 5A. As long as you don't have more than a 5A breaker on a given wire, I don't really see how you can put more than 5A through a section of wire or a connector. The D-SUB is rated at 5A, the use of two is just conservative. But it isn't buying you anything either.

    SV-GPS-250 plus SV-GPS-2020?

Please check out section 8 of our install guide, which covers all these questions, particularly page 8-6 which covers converting from a 250 to a 2020. http://dynonavionics.com/public_html/yabbfiles/Attachments/SkyView_System_Installation_Guide-Rev_AA_v15_0.pdf

How Many Circuit Breakers To Power Skyview

Right after that: In the System Planning page is the attached image. So no, you don't need two breakers. Breakers are to protect wires. All wires are 22 AWG, which is rated for 5A. So a single 5A breaker protecting two wires is completely fine, and is what we expect to be implemented. As Jake...

Single EPL101x Series Dimmer For Dynon Skyview Br

On the RockRacks, there's really two circuits. The the RockRacks switch which has two terminals, and the LEDs which have two terminals. We're completely uninterested in what the switch is hooked to in this discussion. Hook the positive side of the LEDs together from all your switches. Hook them...

What Should The Power Source Be For Remote Dimmer

    1) You cannot externally dim significantly below the light sensor value. So if you request zero brightness but the light sensor sees a bunch of light, it won't go full dim. Hence, the failure of the power source for the dimmer is not catastrophic. You can then manually go into configuration and...

Single EPL101x Series Dimmer For Dynon Skyview Br

I have RockRacks in my plane, dimmed by SkyView. Works great. First, do you have anything else you are dimming at the same time besides the switch LEDs? If not, use the PWM output from SkyView to dim them. Hook the ground from the LEDs to SkyView, then the positive to the 12V. They will dim...

auto pilot button will not engage

Most likely your HSI Source on your PFD is not set to SkyView. Can you see a course deviation indicator on the HSI?

Not sure what you mean. HDX supports the same sensors as all SkyView systems. What exactly are you looking for?

    ADS-B OUT on Ground

There is not a way to make this happen. ADS-B OUT is transmitted on the ground. However, the data is marked as "ON THE GROUND" as required by the TSO and FAR. Ground stations ignore ground targets. On top of this, "NO RADAR" comes when TIS-B can't see your specific airplane on radar. It...

    ADS-B FAA Compliance Report

Craig, Correct. The SV-GPS-2020 is never eligible for the rebate, and if it was, then flying with the 250 first would have disqualified you.

    ADS-B FAA Compliance Report

That's because the report is a 91.227 compliance report. It's meant to tell you if you are 2020 compliant, so it highlights things which make you non-compliant. That doesn't mean it's illegal if you aren't compliant, just that you can't fly into 91.225 airspaces (which don't exist until 2020)...

    ADS-B FAA Compliance Report

The rebate is not available on the SV-GPS-2020. The rebate requires TSO'd devices. It can be installed by anyone however. Even without that, the rebate doesn't work for retrofit aircraft. The rebate requires that your airplane have never transmitted V2 ADS-B OUT, even if that signal was not...

    ADS-B FAA Compliance Report

There is no issue with the 250 at all. It is perfectly legal, and the FAA is aware of it. Transmitting a SIL of 1 is allowed by all the rules. The only thing not allowed is entering airspace defined in 91.225 after Jan 1, 2020. Even after 2020 the 250 is legal as long as you avoid that...

    ADS-B FAA Compliance Report

Craig, Are you using this site?: https://adsbperformance.faa.gov/PAPRRequest.aspx Dynon is listed as a manufacturer for both the transponder and GPS. You should be using that, not Trig. The most likely reason for not getting a report is that you didn't fly in a ADS-B area. There's a map at...

    Sending Flight Plans to Skyview.

Don, Using WiFi to send a file to SkyView is not a supported operation. You need to use a flight planning tool on your iPhone in order to do this.

Audio Alerts - can't hear in my new skyview....

What intercom are you using? How is it wired? How many screens? This is almost always a wiring issue so it's very hard to troubleshoot without knowing about your whole system.

Radio-SV-COM-C25 -can't hear the standby frequency

Are you pressing and holding the frequency tune knob for two seconds until the display says "DUAL"? Like most radios, the COM doesn't give you the audio for the standby unless you ask for it.

    Remote USB panel mount

The USB on SkyView is USB2, not USB3. That said, it's not clear why a USB3 extension wouldn't work given they are backwards compatible. The USB3 extension just has extra pins on it that would be unused.
