Henry, Glad you found the issue. Sounds like you're one of our earlier SkyView customers. The wiring harnesses we have sold for about the last 4 years have a second jacket on the wires like you mentioned. The downside being they are quite a bit stiffer, so everything is a trade-off.

Tim, We need a bit more information about the switch you already have. Almost switch can be easily hooked to the AP control panel by just using only two of the wires. Most of the switches we're familiar with are either 2 wire or 6 wire, not four, hence the question.

There is no change the safety aspect of the screw- it breaks at the same force as before. We just improved the fatigue characteristics which sometimes lead to them breaking at lower forces than required.
