    Dynon WAAS GPS

It certainly would indeed. It occurs to me that Dynon has their label on nearly every component that belongs in an instrument panel EXCEPT that one, and it's a glaring omission. One can certainly hope that there is quiet work going on in a back corner that is not being talked about (yet).

    Adding B&C stby ALT

Using the same shunt is fine - but you should have separate ANL-type (or equivalent) fuses on each B-lead prior to joining them at the shunt so that a single shorted alternator does not take them both out.

    Making Skyview IFR

To expand just a bit on that - the IFR-certified navigator is required to be able to export HSI/GS information to the ARINC module, which will display it on the Skyview screen and allow the autopilot to couple with approaches from the certified navigator.

    Autopilot Behavior On Takeoff

You are ENGAGING the autopilot prior to takeoff?

    Adding B&C stby ALT

You can do it, certainly... I chose not to - because I want to have a "hard alert" on the failure of the primary, with Skyview giving me both a low voltage and high discharge amps alert that is guaranteed to get my attention. Then I will manually diagnose and bring the standby alternator...

    Overheating

I've had dozens of flights this summer with OAT in 100-105 F range, with the airplane heatsoaked on the ramp, and have not experienced any issue with the displays. I would suspect you have a poor connection somewhere on a cable that is being affected by the heat, rather than the display itself.

    430W / ARINC 429 problems

Wait - this just caught my attention.... not sure I'm doing that, not sure I knew I needed to do that. I'm switching the HSI source for Skyview to the ARINC-429, and when the 430W is in GPS mode I get HSI commands to it from the 430W - but when I hit the VLOC button on the 430W I get nothing...

    430W / ARINC 429 problems

Hmmm... that's a valid question. I'm receiving the GPS data without a hitch, including glideslope. Have never received anything at all on the VLOC side. I'm in the middle of replacing a failed fuel pump right now which will take a couple days, then I'm going to be back on this problem with a...

    430W / ARINC 429 problems

Yes, yes but I'll check them again for continuity, and yes - in that order.

    430W / ARINC 429 problems

I have the full Skyview Classic suite in my 9A, with a Garmin 430W feeding the Dynon ARINC-429 for IFR nav data. It works like a charm in GPS mode but I don't get anything at all in VLOC mode. Is there something you can recommend as a starting point for troubleshooting? ILS reception is evident...

    DataManager - Argggggghhh

Ditto that sentiment here. I love the data - I hate the method.

    DataManager - Argggggghhh

No, this was SA-induced. They did not have the data available for download. I just got an email from SA timestamped 2:35pm Central this afternoon that the data is now released for download. It says they "discovered a problem".... yeah - I did too.

    DataManager - Argggggghhh

And now an update on this situation - I just uninstalled the data manager, deleted all the files and folders, rebooted, re-installed the data manager fresh from the SA website, and it's downloading data - all dated to expire tomorrow. No "next cycle" data available. F'ing fabulous. Is SA run...

    DataManager - Argggggghhh

And now this morning my system won't even recognize new charts at all - my datamanager refuses to see new data from SA and all my stuff is set to expire tomorrow. Fabulous. Dynon, there just has to be a better way...

ADSB traffic on instrument approach plates?

...right... because no pilot, ever, in the history of ever, has ever flown under VFR or NORDO in IMC. Right? right? Surely not... Because, you know, that would be against the rules 'n stuff....

ADSB traffic on instrument approach plates?

ADSB traffic on instrument approach plates?

When flying with an instrument approach plate up in place of the map screen, will ADSB traffic appear geo-referenced on the approach plate as it does in the map?

Rapid pitch excursions on LPV VNAV

I'm doing this exact thing right now, pursuing my IFR in a 9A with Skyview. I found that my coupled LPV approaches did the same thing if I flew them 90-100 knots with zero flaps. I dropped 10 degrees of flaps and flew it a 90 knots, and the performance is much better. On a whim I dropped 20...

Aural alerts for yellow range on EMS widgets?

I'm electrically dependent, with dual alternators and a single ETX-900VNT battery. I operate off the primary alternator as standard ops, but I always check the backup alternator for output during the runup. Occasionally in flight I will go to the backup alternator for 30 minutes or so just to...

    New ADSB module

Hmmm, yeah, a hat for the beta testers would be a nice touch - and might generate a few more beta testers for you!
