    Using Dynon For Performance Testing

Don't be a tool. Just ignore it and let it go.

    Basic ADS-B question re: Skyview

Re: Basic ADS-B question Skyview Unless you're in an area where it cannot be rebroadcast - because the traffic is not being seen by radar, such as low-level or in the mountains, or offshore.

    ADSB 472

Children, please. ADSB is just another tool to use, or not, as you see fit. If you like it, use it. If not, then not.

    calibrating airspeed?

It's not a "Skyview" thing - it's an "aircraft" thing. Any aircraft, regardless of what instrumentation is installed, is subject to position error for both the pitot tube and static ports, and these errors need to be physically corrected.

    calibrating airspeed?

Typically you'll need to correct for position errors at the static port, by moving it or changing its height relative to the aircraft surface it's mounted on, or adding air-dams forward or aft of the static port, to get it to minimize error across the range of airspeeds the aircraft will see. To...

    Pitot heat to EMS 220

The status wire does not vary its output as the pitot heat cycles on and off. The status wire simply tells you if the pitot heat SYSTEM is active, or not.

    Dynon Certified status?

Dynon - I've got a 172 with cranky vacuum pumps that is just begging for the Skyview STC - can you give us any hints as to the timeline for when that will be available?

What did I miss AGL box ?

It's a reference to a currently-nonexistent piece of data on the PFD screen that would give the aircrafts current altitude in AGL (Above Ground Level) rather the MSL (Mean Sea Level).

How do I get the Autopilot to fly an IFR approach?

Same here, with the 430W providing all my TSO'd nav capability. I'm using the Dynon GPS2020 receiver for my ADSB position though.

    ADSB 472

I have a feeling that Dynon already has some beta-testers lined up - and an equally strong feeling that George isn't one of them. ;)

USB Preparation Folder & Seattle Avionics Download

Essentially, yes. The folder you create is used by the Seattle Avionics program to identify a device that should have the chart data installed - but the chart data does not go into that folder.

    ADSB 472

Mine does not work reliably above about 12,000' AGL - now I'm wondering about my antenna and coax on the receiver, I may need to check that.

    ADSB 472

That sounds promising - perhaps good enough to head off a possible hardware fix?

    ADSB 472

Dynon - I'm seeing an "issue" with the current version of the 472 that I have installed, running Skyview Classic with 15.2.0 software, that I'm curious if it is something to do with the current known problems with the 472, or something else. I make a lot of long cross-countries in the...

Map North Up - Plane symbol centered- wasted space

You can't please everyone. Dynon does an amazing job of fitting their product to please as many people as possible, but you can never please everyone, there will always be someone who sees some aspect of the system differently and will not be satisfied. No one is required to buy Dynon...

    Amps Draw Indication

Check your connections on the shunt, this sounds like a low-resistance weak connection.

Turn your strobes off, see if it goes away. What radios and comm panel are you using?
