SV-AP-PANEL Trim With 7-amp Brushed DC Motor

For anyone that wants it. I chose a bigger motor driver, the VHN5019. It's capable of higher current than ever needed without getting hot.

SV-AP-PANEL Trim With 7-amp Brushed DC Motor

Ok I’ll bite one more time. I can type random numbers into an online calculator too to make a single ohm be a tiny change. I can also type a random number into the same calculation to make a single ohm a huge change. At 12v, a 160ohm resistor measured on the other end is 12v. A 10000000kohm...

SV-AP-PANEL Trim With 7-amp Brushed DC Motor

Unfortunately that’s not how electrical engineering works. I think I’ll wait for Steve to respond so I can verify his data and math before things get blown up. The servo is in no way a factor in this calculation. Depending on the circuit on the AP panel side, 2 ohms could have a major...

SV-AP-PANEL Trim With 7-amp Brushed DC Motor

I get it, it’s not about the servo, it’s about the current requirements and specs of the motor driver and AP panel. I’m sure I can find the specs for the motor driver, I can’t see the specs for the AP panel. What is limiting the current on the output and what are the specs of it.

SV-AP-PANEL Trim With 7-amp Brushed DC Motor

How did you calculate that resistor value for the A&B in? What data did you find? I have 160 ohm resistors but not 158... It's probably fine but I can't find the data for the autopilot module.

    I’m interested in it.

Capacitent fuel probe to Dynon HDX issues

Is there any plan from Dynon to support frequency output? Does anyone know if CIES makes a pipe mount probe? All I see is the 5 bolt senders. I have the vision micro probes and I’d really like to not have a bunch of converters.

Capacitent fuel probe to Dynon HDX issues

That spread should be fine. When I did my Mooney the spread was even less than that and the tanks read perfectly.

What's included in the display harness?

It has the connectors with lengths of wire coming out. All the wire is color coded and makes connecting a no brainer.

    Dynon @ AirVenture 2022

Where can I see a video of these new displays in action. I’m at this point in my panel redo on my Glasair iii and waiting until after osh to make my decision which way to go.

    Where are the PIREPS?

Topo only as far as I can tell. Same with lightning strikes.

Less whatever you’re doing, more Mooney short body work.

An update on Dynon Certified projects

The only thing I’m really asking for while I’m on the short body Mooney waitlist is regular status updates that make me feel confident that my HDX system will someday include an autopilot.

Mooney. More specifically, short body Mooney.

    Skyview, IFD and Foreflight integration

Dynon doesn’t make Avidyne products, and what you are discussing is an Avidyne issue. Avidyne doesn’t allow flight plan information to be entered via ARINC. There is no finger pointing. I’m not sure if the decision is regulatory or not.

    Glidepath Pointer/Needle/Indicator

I for one like the sizing and position. I would like HITS to have VNav though…

Letter to Dynon, we need a zoom meeting about Auto Pilot.

Sounds like maybe IFR isn’t for you. Not if you need an autopilot to be able to fly your airplane... yes it makes it easier. No it isn’t and shouldn’t be a requirement.

    Question about compass

When I put my airplane together the heading was waaayyy off from interference. I was told it is not supposed to be enabled for this reason and the remote magnetometer unit is not possible in the certified installation. if yours isn’t up to 40 degrees off like mine was I don’t see why you...
