    Transponder Warning Message

I dont know for sure but I know that DPSK in a communication system means Differential Phase Shift Keying. This is a modulation technique that is used in digital transmitters / receivers. I suspect if you are getting this error you will have to contact DYNON and most likely send it back for...

Fuel Pressure with Engine/fuel Pump Off

It is possible to adjust the C0 term in the calibration to shift the offset but I would not recommend this. Unless you have the ability to perform a sensor calibration to check the other terms, this is a 3rd order polynomial you will be getting bad data. Is the sensor output repeatable. Bad...

Fuel Pressure with Engine/fuel Pump Off

The numbers you show "Raw" is the raw count 12 bit system = 0 to 4095 counts, Volts is the equivalent voltage @ (0.00122V/count) and the Value is with the calibration coefficients applied (EU's or Engineering Units, PSI).  Based on these numbers it looks like your sensor is bad.  To verify, you...

    Incorrect AMPS reading.

Anna, Looking at your engine gauges i noticed the Manifold pressure reading 2.6 inHg, Oil pressure and Temp "X"ed out. even if you are on Dynon internal battery you should see real data on these. Is this a flying aircraft? Has this ever worked? Has the EMS been fully configured? You may...

    Incorrect AMPS reading.

The AMP input is a differential amplifier input.  So, if you short those two wires together (C37 P24/25) this will force the input to 0 volts.  The SV should display 0 Amps with two wires shorted together.  If not then the EMS is bad.  If it displays 0 Amps then you have something miss-wired...

    EMS Issue

Check the following posting. It looks like you are experiencing the same thing I experienced when I had a regulator failure. See post #9 for a schematic to help protect against this. But anytime you connect the shunt between alternator and circuit breaker you may expose the shunt / EMS to...

Whats wrong with this sensor definition?

Good to hear you figured it out. You may want to use a Arduino LM35 temp sensor. They output a linear Temp to V ( 10mV/degree C) making you calibration much easier. You can find these for about $10 and already on a board with leads. Works with 4 to 20VDC excitation.

Whats wrong with this sensor definition?

I haven't check your calibration data but just looking at the fact you are capped at 36 ( 37 C = 100F) is it possible you have your cal in Degrees F, but your user preference is in Degrees C? check you user config file. units_temp_oat=UNITS_TEMP_F units_temp_other=UNITS_TEMP_F

    Sidetone > 0 results in beacon/strobe noise

CGameProgrammer, What kinda plane is this - Metal or Composite? If it is metal you should make sure your Mic and Headset jacks are isolated from airframe ground. They make nylon washers that keep the Mic and headset ground from contacting the airframe ground. If you do not have these you can...

    Starter Contactor Indicator

Connect your circuit as I have attached, with the diode and contact input connected to the "I" terminal.  Configure the contact levels as 0 to 3.0 V = Starter not engaged.  3.1 V to 5.0 = Starter Engaged. The diode should be a 1N4004, 1N4005, or 1N4006.  Any will do, whichever you can get...

    Starter Engaged "Light"

Just another thought regarding this. If you are trying to determine if the starter relay sticks you need to connect your contact input on the big wire between the relay and the starter (load side or contactor). If you are connecting this to the control / coil wires it will only show if the key...

    Starter Contactor Indicator

Try setting your Ranges to: Range 1: enable yes, name ENGD, color white, top 5.0 volts, bottom to 3.0 Volts. Range 2: enable yes, name nothing, color black, top 3.0 volts, bottom 0.0 volt The "Pull Up" in skyview is keeping in the high state. You may need to add a diode in series with the...

    Autopilot disconnect

I have a Glasair with retractable landing gear. On occasion, the landing gear pump must kick on momentary to keep the landing gear up in the wing. If the battery is old and weak when this happens I get a power drop and it will kick off the servos. So, make sure something like that is not...

    Engine cooling pressure

From the vendor data sheet provided in original post we have: Pressure Range of  0 to 1019.78 mm H2O, convert this to Inches. mm to Inches is 1 Millimeter = 0.03937007874 Inches. So, the new pressure range is 0 to 40.14881889 in H2O. The sensor has a full scale output of .20V to 4.7V...

    ADSB 472

I am using the TED antenna for my ADS 472. I notice lower performance with the ADS 472 vs. ADS 470. I see traffic blank in and out often. Also, see screenshot of the full USA weather with a lot of holes in coverage. Looks like the receiver is loosing lock and dropping data. This was an 1...

    ADSB 472

Dynon, I also recently upgraded my ADS from the 470 to the 472 and notice traffic blinking on/off the display. I never noticed this with the ADS470 so I feel it is related to the above posts. I am planning on flying to Oshkosh later this month and will get a lot of flight time to experience...

    Altimeter/transponder recertification procedure

This is from the "What's New" in Skyview system software. Version 15.0.2 11/3/2016 New: Pitot/Static test mode that elmiminates the need for display restarts during transponder checks. Available via SETUP MENU > HARDWARE CALIBRATION > ADAHRS CALIBRATION > PITOT / STATIC TEST MODE. I had my...

How Do I Certify That The Altimeter Indication???

I would add you can determine if you have a static port position error by taping shut one of you static ports and taking a leaf blower and blow across the open static port. Emulate in-flight airflow. While monitoring this on you SV if you see an altitude change you have static port position...

    EarthX BMS

I do not have the EARTH X battery but found reference in their manual for the output you are having trouble with. You should connect it up as I have it on the attached drawing.  It should work.  if you connect it to both the panel indicator and the EMS you need the isolation diodes.  The EMS...
