And that's really so they don't power off. You won't damage SkyView with drooping voltage (which is common). The displays may restart though. If you have a backup battery connected, that takes over and then you won't have any issues here.

Generally, they're tied to AP releases. The C182, due out "very soon" (subject to FAA approval, that we don't have control over), will not have new software. But likely, the next airplane will. Those plans are subject to change.

The short answer is that it's not plausible to make our system compatible with other servos. There are both deeply technical reasons, but even if that weren't the case, certification covers the system from end to end. Changing just the servos means it's an entirely different autopilot system.

Sorry to report that using 3rd party brackets with Dynon autopilot servos isn't an approved or supported way to install our autopilot.

If you have SkyView HDX or SkyView Touch, pinch to zoom is supported. SkyView Classic doesn't have a touch screen, so that wouldn't work, but touching the screen shouldn't cause any errant behavior either.
