    SV-HARNESS-INT question

This worked for me. The green wires are pigtails to the shields.

    SYS EVENT 20 see setup

Anyone know what a SYS EVENT 20 means? It occurred as a message that remained for the rest of a flight (didn't disappear with acknowledgment of the message). Didn't notice any odd behaviour while the message was displayed. Perfectly OK next startup Just curious Geoff

Autopilot Rolls Into Turns Like A Fighter Pilot

An update, it seems the "fix" has worked, at least for me. Finally managed to do some limited testing today in Simple mode. Everything behaved normally with default settings. No problem with Tach time.

    Skyview and Trig Transponder

My plane has a stand alone Trig TT21 Transponder with the remote TC20 Controller. I have recently installed a Skyview HDX. It would be nice to have the Skyview talk to and control the transponder. Is this just a simple matter of disconnecting the TC20 remote controller and using a Dynon...

    Flight Deck 180 Serial connection

Update. After a marathon effort I have managed to delete Win 10 and Install Win 7 on my laptop. Despite many attempts I was unable to install Win 7 on a partition in the Win 10 machine so finished up deleting Win 10 completely. Downloaded the Dynon Support Program and the Serial to USB driver in...

    Flight Deck 180 Serial connection

I think that is what I am trying to do (Install Windows 7 in a partition on the Windows 10 machine). The problem is getting a version of Windows 7 that actually works. I have bought a copy online as an ISO file but that needs to be converted to a bootable version. There are several ways...

    Flight Deck 180 Serial connection

Thanks for commenting. It sure seems like Windows 10 is the problem (or at least a recent update of Windows 10). At the moment I am trying to install windows 7 on a laptop running Windows 10. Now that's easier said than done. If ever I succeed I will let the forum now the result

    Flight Deck 180 Serial connection

OK, it seems to be sorted. I borrowed a friends Windows 7 computer, downloaded the Support Program and Serial to USB driver. Connected everything up and the data files downloaded without a problem!!! My friend mentioned above used Windows Vista with his D10 and again the data files downloaded...

Thanks for reply, Have tried a different cable, same result. Have re installed the USB-Serial driver (and the Support Program) several times, same result. At the moment I am looking for an old computer with Windows 7 to see if that works. Will post the results here

    Flight Deck 180 Serial connection

Still having problems downloading flight data from my D180 (see above) I have now tried it on a friends D100 and get exactly the same result (the screen turns yellow but data not downloaded) This suggests to me that the Dynon instruments themselves are NOT the problem as both behave in the same...

    Flight Deck 180 Serial connection

PC has stopped communicating with Flightdeck D180. I am using a Serial to USB converter cable. It previously worked fine. The yellow screen appears but data is not downloaded. The error message is "Com port error 820" or similar. I have tested the Com port on the computer using the loop back...

    Tail Number issue (Australia)

Screen shot of error message attached, but problem has been resolved. The issue was that I changed the Tail Number (7848 to R7848) on one display and overlooked doing a Network Configuration to update the second display. As soon as the configuration was done the message disappeared!!!

    Tail Number issue (Australia)

There appears to be a minor problem (in Australia) with RA Aus registered aircraft that are equipped with the Dynon Mode S transponder. CASA, the FAA equivalent, requires the Tail Number to be entered in the format "R(tail number) eg R7848 in my case. When this is done I get a warning message...
