    HOBBS counting without oil pressure.

Ray, The sensors were mounted strictly following the instructions in the manual ( revision K, March 2012) in all aspects. I think the ground is ok: 0,4 Ohm. According VDO technical documents they have a resistance between 10 and 240 Ohms. See my last post: what we measured was too much what...

    HOBBS counting without oil pressure.

Had some help from an experienced professional. The two sensors, VDO type, part of the emskit, bought in 2010, seem to stay partly 'stuck' after engine shut down. We measured 28,8 and 23,7  Ohm for the oil and fuel respectively. After some gentle tapping on the casing, the resistance dropped...

    HOBBS counting without oil pressure.

Sorry, the previous message was wrong. You should now read : How can the system have oil and fuel pressure without the engine running. In the preceding weeks, the hobbs and run timers would run without oil and fuel pressure. Disregard the third screen shot. An suggestion welcome. Thanks. Jef...

    HOBBS counting without oil pressure.

See attached screen shots. The hobbs and run timers count while there is no oil pressure? What could be wrong?

    HOBBS counting without oil pressure.

Now I understand that I should have mentioned: I used the Dynon preconfigured sensor mapping files for the new Lycoming XIO-320 that I have. Did that in 2012, and had no problems. This afternoon in the hangar, I powered the Efis, and the RUN time went up from 00.0 to 00.2; the Hobbs increased...

    HOBBS counting without oil pressure.

To study the possibilities of my SV system ( 10"&7",ems, autopilot) in the hangar, I power it up with a ground power supply to the main bus. Last weekend while studying the use of a flight plan, I noticed that the ENGINE RUN TIME had accumulated 20 minutes, and the HOBBS had also gone up. I...

    8.33 Radio Use In Europe?

EASA doesn't for CS-LSA aircarft and other similarly type-certificated aircarft, but for homebuilts and in other countries that have their own aviation authorities that have rules that govern other types of aircraft (like microlights and ultralights), it varies some. We don't have an...

    AOA Calibration

Thank you for this clarification. But just to be sure: do we stall the aircraft while in fast cruise condition (=75 % power), or with power off=throttle closed? Thanks, Jef.

    AOA Calibration

Trying to familiarize myself with the procedure, I have the following questions: - as described in point 4, I suppose that we should do a " power on" stall to be developed from the fast cruise situation; is this correct ? - Point 5 says: after the stall is complete, press STALL; should we press...

    Problems with version 6 upgrade

I did try again today, using my 2 Dynon USB sticks. On the one I had loaded the Quick Update Package. After insertion, and in Set up, Skyview found nothing, not in Upgrade System .. and not in Load Files. On the other stick I had that same file un-zipped. After insertion, SV recognised it...

    Problems with version 6 upgrade

jbellot - Which file were you using when you tried to upgrade? the update package for europe, as I wrote jef - Did you try the alternative method of using the individual files? If you did, did that fix things? I did not; are you suggesting I should? Why should that package not work? dlloyd: No...

    Problems with version 6 upgrade

I have also a problem. Starting from a similar situation, and using the Update Package for Europe, following Dynon's instructions, the reply I get is " no compatible files found in the main folder of ....". I did verify the USB stick and the file was there. Tried 3 times with my Dynon sticks and...

    Dynon Comm Radio

And I still hope that it will fit in a standard 2 1/4" hole, in order to mount it on the panel in the proximity of the SV displays.

Any chance of training sessions in western europe, say Holland, Belgium, France, Germany, Switserland?

    Dynon Com Radio

I had hoped it would fit in a 2-1/4" hole that I have made for a second radio. The suggested dimensions are difficult to fit in an existing panel that has been designed using "conventional" instruments including a 10" and 7" SV.

    The MGL Radio

Hopefully it will fit in a 2 1/4 hole that I have made in my panel for the radio that I did not yet order.

    Compatibility with TruTrak ADI

Re: Compatibility with TruTrak I have a similar problem with my double SV system ( two SV-GPS-250) and Trutrak Digiflight II. Trutrak says that it can accept a maximum band rate of 9600 baud. Is there a solution for this that Dynon could offer? Thanks

    flap position indication

Thanks for reminding to read the manual completely. I would use pin 18 firstly for the MAP sensor; is it good practice, or acceptable, to use this pin also for another application, like the POS 12 flap sensor ?

    flap position indication

What connections are to be made to a Ray Allen Pos 12 in order to let Skyview indicate the flap position.
