    Whats next

I can't articulate why, but I too like the engine info along the bottom of the screen. Sometimes I feel this forum should have a "like" button so I can express agreement without a somewhat frivolous post. Guess I spend too much time on Facebook...... Oh, an Air/Fuel indicator would be nice...

    Datalogging

I used it for the first time today. Very short flight but i am still in Phase One testing and I had just done some engine work. It was great to see the data and gain some insight. Thanks Dynon

    firmware updates for 2013

Being in Phase One testing of my Velocity SE with a rotary, I am especially anxious for the data logging. I don't think I will be able to fly until this weekend, so hopefully it will be out by then. Trying to take a quick picture of the SkyView with my phone is a bit unnerving at this point...

Manifold pressure not working after upgrade to 5.0

I have a similar problem with the manifold pressure, except I don't have the big red "X"....my just continues to read 24.9 regardless. Everything else seems to work and I am not sure what else to check...wires, hose, set up etc.

    correct pitch and altimeter

I 'ditto' this Lacy311, I have not flown yet, but am frightfully close maybe, and I thought the same thing when "playing around"....uh, learning the system. Chris

    Pocket FMS

Pardon my ignorance, but is this new 3rd party vendor to replace the US data or is it more focused on areas outside the US. Am I to assume that it will enhance the current information on the Skyview for us US guys...well and us Texans ;)? Is this a precurser to the Feds no longer making...

    what's next

I think it may be emotional and the fact that I am only rated VFR but I look forward to cities/towns/roads etc. I think it is the way my mind works. When I look down it always pleases me to the same thing on the ground as I have found on my moving map, Anywhere Map has been the one I have...

Worked like a charm guys. Thanks again. Chris

    Prop RPM

Thanks. I am heading out to the hangar in a couple of minutes and I should be able to give it a try. Chris

    Prop RPM

Ok, got the tach working. So, what do I need to do to have it give my PSRU at the prop speed of 2.17? Again, thanks. Chris

    Prop RPM

I will likely use option 1. My ECU does have a tach output. The manual for the ECU seems to have a bit of conflicting information that I have to wade through the information regarding the voltage. It makes reference to a 5v output but also discusses 12v out so I need to figure out which SV...

    Prop RPM

I am using an alternative engine, a Mazda 13b turbo rotary.  I have an engine  RPM monitor that gives me my engine RPM that is made for the rotary from RWS (Real World Solutions), a one man show that provides rotary PSRU, engine monitors and controllers.  It is an electronic ingnition and the...

    Font size in 3.2 curiosity

Surfboy, No, I do not believe so as to the font. I was referring to the widget sizing and placement. Chris

    Font size in 3.2 curiosity

Thanks for the info. I was wondering if I was missing something. I guess it would be a bit too big a challange to make the instrument screen cutomizable like the engne screen is. No worries, it is a nice improvement, IMAO. I would rather y'all to focus on the Comms ;) Yes, I agree, y'all...

    Font size in 3.2 curiosity

While I did not have a problem with the fonts before even though I did feel they were a bit small, I like the new font size on the 700.  However, are you able to change the font size? Seems you should be able to toggle the old and new sizes at least. Scaling would really be great for...

    Dynon panel mount comm

I gotta agree with Dynon here as to a separate head, especially with my smaller 7 inch SkyView in my Velocity. Just seems better to not further clutter the screen. I can't tell ya how pleased I am that Dynon is usually good about following through. I have learned to have a great deal of faith...

    Customer Support - Future Features

For some reason I feel compelled to agree on the split out issue.  It is so much easier to run a simple wire or two to an appropriate location than wire and hose.  I was kinda suprised to see this intergrated.  I have a buch of stuff in the nose and on my canard and am limited.  However, I am...

    Rebate for DYNON customers

This is good advice. I sold my D-100 w/super brite screen for $1750.00. So, a bit more than the current half that Dynon is generously offering (as they have stated, try getting that with a Mac or PC for older product). However, it was enouhg that I cold feel better about upgrading to SkyView...

    No SynVis Screenshot

Heh....looks just like Houston WITH synvis ON. Yeah, coastal plain and all. BTW, I got my SkyView in yesterday but haven't had a chance to play with it yet. Looks sooooooo kewl though. Thanks for the hat :) All the best, Christopher Barber Houston, GSOT

    SkyView eve....

Ok, the SkyView is scheduled to accept orders in just a few hours.  Uh, my geek question is, since you have 24 hour online ordering, will it be able to ordered at midnight <g>.  Yeah, I know you won't get to the office 'til later in the day, but as a cop, I work late hours and would like to get...
