    New Airmate aviation data

Regarding the VFR blurry, I just found that the $49 subscription only includes Low Resolution VFR maps… nothing that I found stated this in writing but I asked then to change my subscription from the $49 USA only to the $99 North American subscription and it included both the lower resolution as...

    New Airmate aviation data

Thanks I’ve been using Microduo 3c 32gb USB devices they actually worked better on the SA system for me than the Scandisk drives but I’ll find some Scandisk USB devices tomorrow and see if I have better luck because these don’t look like they will work

    New Airmate aviation data

That step was pretty quick and easy, but the next step is really going SLOW, how long did your data down to your USB take? So far it’s been two hours since I moved the files to my computer and now pushing it to my USB is taking forever.

    Chart upgrade

when I go through the same process of updating my chats and maps on my GPS that’s required for IFR flight it works flawlessly and nearly instantly so every update is like a slap in the face when you watch one system do it right and the Seattle update just Doesn’t

    Chart upgrade

Ya I should have clarified my beef.. it’s not the maps or the content itself it’s the Chart Manager Software that’ll drive about anyone crazy with frustration.. updates are painfully slow and have a high probability of failing and necessitating the excruciating process of starting all over again

    Chart upgrade

While I truly love the dynon system I have in my plane If I had known how utterly pathetic the Seattle Avionics maps are I so would have gone another route… hopefully Dynon finds another direction soon

    Map source vs Hsi source

Try to activate a leg it might show up then, oh you said you have it active.. but it should show the active leg in the Dynon FP so it might be because your not actually getting GPS signal in your hanger

    Map source vs Hsi source

Yes and even if there’s no active FP on the Garmin it should still be available on the Fligh plan table but it’s empty without a active FP

    Map source vs Hsi source

I have a GNC355 as my IFR GPS and my experience is just like Carls description. You just need to change the GPS source on the Dynon screen.. you can Even load the same flight plan waypoints in both the Garmin FP and the Skyview FP and have a quick backup. You change the source by touching the...

    Loss of GPS during flight

In my case I just lost all navigation references this included synthetic vision as well as all maps for any reference.. but fortunately all PFD information remains active. But if you loose all maps it’s going to make you consider have I also lost everything else.. fortunately it’s only been one...

Dynon Certified at AirVenture… what to expect?

I had my shop check with Dynon today and sounds like the rumors are true.. approval for the 182 is only waiting on STC paperwork completion and that should be done in about 30 days. Shipping for 182 approved models 30 days there after…Sweet

    plates airport

I think you can only do this for the map and in route charts but not the plates. Below is the HDX user manual section on this I don’t think you can change any plates display like your asking. MAP SETUP – Map Preference Configuration Many aspects of the moving map’s appearance can be configured...

Sending flight plan to Dynon HDX and Garmin GNC355

I agree but I really don’t use FF in flight anymore so just loading the initial flight plans on both devices is not a big deal. I normally load the flight plan to both but typically use the GNC355 as my primary navigation gps and keep the flight plan loaded in the HDX as a backup. Ether way...

    Seattle Avionics price increase

Don, Thanks for the clarification. It is the airport information I intend to add for Mexico from Jep but hopefully someday the charts might also be a option for us as well.
