Cool... the new windshield has been installed.

No more peering out of a milky and crazed one when flying into the sun.

Lots of progress to see, for I have been away for a while...

N22230 has a SureFly left magneto installed, so their tachometer signal converter
module was required to be acquired and installed, so that the SkyView could
display the appropriate data during a mag check.

Power should be applied to the entire panel sometime very soon!

You're going to enjoy this STC. One issue you should be prepared for is some fishtailing on the AP holding heading, there is a procedure available from Dynon for in-flight autopilot tuning and once we went through that a few times we had it pretty much knocked down.

Indeed, I'm looking forward to this STC; it will be wonderful.

Is the in-flight autopilot tuning procedure located in the SkyView HDX System
Airplane Flight Manual Supplement? I have not downloaded it yet.

Thank you for your feedback.

This whole thread is super helpful as I‘m designing my own HDX installation…

I see a 5A breaker for “USB” and a 15A for “AUX POWER.” I’m assuming the 15A is for charging ports, but what is the USB breaker powering?

I'm glad that you are enjoying the thread!

The 5 amp circuit breaker protects the 2-port USB component and the 15 amp circuit breaker is for a cigarette lighter outlet.

The project has been completed!

Next up: Weigh the 172 for the new weight-and-balance data and perform some Dynon software calibrations.

WIP... but almost done!
