Apparently you're talking about the Dynon navdata database.Whenever I download a new chart update cycle it loads in line with the last few chart updates
When I go to upload them into the Dynon I have to make sure to select the correct cycle into the HDX
The old chart updates never leave the USB
I have 6 0r 7 cycles now loaded on the USB
Never too late to learn something new, eh?As I said I don't spend much time messing around with "screens" as all the younger people do.
I can delete emails but I've never deleted from a USB. Thanks again i'll take another look at it on the next
update cycle
I hesitate to ask this, but...did you read the manual and look at the database information available at Dynon's website?I thought Dynon had it's own American DB installed on every installation with updates via internet every 28 days?
I'm pretty sure Seattle Avionics doesn't HAVE the full set of Canadian charts. They apparently have "Southern Canada" scanned charts (VFR, IFR), but I don't know about airport diagrams and approach plates.I'm using Seattle Avionics data and find it OK to use even for a Luddite. You will need the laptop app Seattle Avionics Chart Manager on your laptop then insert the correct type USB stick and select the charts you want to load and transfer to your Dynon.
You will need (if you haven't done it yet) to install a USB input slot in your panel dedicated to only Dynon data transfers and NOT for powering any USB device. Check the Dynon wiring manual.
I've never looked into Canadian charts so I can't comment on those.
Next nav data upload is is coming so I'll be trying to delete the old stuff- waiting for the "smoke" when I push the wrong button.
