No documentation around that, and don't think company still existsIf the radio uses the Garmin SL30 protocol, it should work fine. That would depend on the XCOM documentation.
So I tried pretty much every different radio choice in serial setup to no availAnyone connected the SkyView serial to an XCOM 760? Does it go both ways? What setting did you use on the SkyView, like an SL40?
Thanks Robert
Did all the above, still nothing ... RHEAD enabled, serial connected to port 1, input device setup as SL40, "Display COM in Top Bar" turned ON, can see package count go in and out, but still no tuning. It allegedly behaves like a Garmin SL-40.
You may need to enable the serial interface on the XCOM radio. You can do this executing the following steps:
1. Switch the unit off by holding the ON button for 3 secs
2. Hold down the DUAL and MODE buttons and press ON
3. The unit should start and show the software version (Note the version)
4. Press the F/CH knob until RHEAD is shown
5. Turn the F/CH knob clockwise and the display should show ON
6. Press the FLIP/FLOP (double arrow) button
Once this is done the serial interface will be enabled and you can set frequency to the XCOM from your EFIS.
Does it work in any direction (tune radio, does it show up on the Dynon display), vs. tell Dynon to tune COM. Either of these work? If not, check your serial port connection and configuration. Maybe RX and TX are reversed?
