v12.0 loaded this evening without issue.

At work we maintain many GA manufacturers' products (airframe, engine and avionics). If only their manuals were as easy to use as Dynons' manuals.

EBB, I do hope that eventually you find something that makes you happy - it must be terrible for you being so upset with everyone's alleged inadequacies all the time.....

It's 405 pages long and 3 inches high and it used up all my printer's paper and three of my ink cartridges
Clearly some scoundrel broke into your home, put a gun to your head and forced you to print out the manual against your will. Call the police and report the desperado or he'll make some other poor Dynon owner do the same thing.

As simple as it is, this one is a great improvement:

Improved: Map zoom/range feature can be reversed so that clockwise rotation "zooms in" to the map (decreases range) to suit user preference.

It is more intuitive to have 'screw in, screw out' - "zoom in, zoom out".

Thanks Dynon!

One thing i noticed when i changed this feature on to be more intuitive. The touch buttons also swap. When you press Magnification tool + it zooms out and when you press - to zooms in. this touch buttons should stay intact.  so after you  reverse knob rotation zoom it should not efect the buttons on screen. luckily i dont use the touch buttons a lot.

I tried this change, but i hated it. i kept getting confused and forgetting what direction the zoom is.

I then realized WHY both Garmin and Dynon used the default setting. Rotate knob to right (ie, screw in) means you are INCREASING the zoom range. Thus, you are going from 5nm to 100nm for instance. Garmin does the same thing.

As long as i remember what i am increasing or decreasing (ie zoom range), i never get confused now.

I like to think of the zoom knob function as "screwing the knob in and pushing away the map" and "screwing the knob out and bringing the map closer" -- works for me!

Many of us here actually hated the original implementation, but we decided to follow what the world had done, at least to start, until enough of you and us had had enough (about half of us, anyway, it would seem :) ).

Now, the touch button reversal is a bug. We'll fix that in the next version.
