Avionics are fun to talk about once in a while I guess but what's everybody got their Dynon stuff in?

I picked this up last May, it had Dynon Skyview Classic 7" and 10" displays in it with the comm, transponder, ads-b, ahrs, intercom, and gps antenna components. The airplane sat idle for almost nine years and the builder didn't do such a great job installing everything so I've been redoing the electrical system and going through all of the Dynon connections. It'll be ready for the engine when I get it back and will hopefully be flying again by around mid March. It's a Pitts Model 12, the last full design completed by Curtiss Pitts before his death. The engine is a Russian Vendenyev M-14P, 9 cylinders with 360 stock HP.

Cant compare with the ramp appeal of the Pitts above however, you asked;

Sonex, Legacy, Rotax 912ULS, Airmaster CS, plans built & personalised - EconoCruise 75% power (5000 engine rpm) delivers 130 knots @ 3500ft for 15L/hr ULP consumed. Fitted with Dynon Skyview SE SV/D600
Phot, before first flight,132 hrs later, unpainted cowling, much changed (for better cooling) & painted

Plans built? As in you started with sheets of aluminum? I saw an RV-4 earlier last year that was plans built, not a lot of aluminum planes being plans built anymore.

4 gal/hr at 130kts is pretty good too!

"Plans built?"

Yes, plans built.
Some component were "off the shelf" - Sonex supplied the engine frame & bed, glass wing/tail tips, main wing spar.
I would like to claim "all my own work', the truth is I purchased the aircraft in an advanced stage of completion, from the astonishing person who started the project.
He spent something like 10-12 years building, to equal certified (if not better) standard.
All aircraft grade components, down to solid rivets throughout (not a standard Sonex build).
The aircarft boasts a number of innovative feature eg 30 L wing tanks, (total usable fuel from three tanks -96L) a custom mechanical/spring elevator trim system, etc
Unfortunatly for him , he developed a neurological disorder, that made it impossible to complete the project.
It took me another 18 months, of intensive work (I am retired from paid employment) to put the aircraft in the air.

A neighbouring airfield, is the home of the first Australian RV4 - a plans build. Still flown very competently by the builder (he has barrel & aileron rolled it, with me in the back seat). It's a work of art - still looks like it has just come off the showroom floor. 😈

Original build: Vans RV-9A.
Second build: Harmon Rocket.
Current build, with 5 hrs flight time: Rans S-21.

All Dynon based…. D10A….SkyView…SkyView HDX.

The panel photo shows a set of discrete flight instrument that interwork with the SkyView system, including an OnSpeed energy display and a tailBeaconX transponder controller.

And yes, there is a horn!
