I'm going to have Six Pack Aero replace the factory original control yokes with new ones from Cessna.

The new Cessna yokes are a better fit when compared to the originals.

They'll easily bolt into place with the new shaft-to-yoke adapters (a separate Cessna part number).

I strongly considered the Avion Research yokes, but I'm of the opinion that they're too big for a 172 flight deck.

They'd look fine in a 182.

They're too heavy and they look out-of-scale when fashioned in front of the instrument panel.

An Avion Research yoke weighs 2.7 pounds. The new Cessna yoke and adapter tipped the scale at 1.7 pounds.

Certainly, the new Cessna yokes will enhance the new panel!

Thanks for posting, Bryant.

I'm in the planning stages of my HDX install for my 182 and love seeing how others are getting it done.

Keep the updates coming!!

Six Pack Aero is in the process of installing the roll servo in the left wing and
complying with the Roll Servo Cable Guard Service Bulletin that was released
on March 24th.

The roll servo isn't 100 percent installed yet, so the control cables are loose in
these images.

Scope out that cool Snap-on Tools LED lamp that's on the underneath side of
the left wing. I gotta get one of those units!

WIP.

More progress...

The magnetometer and Dynon GPS antenna have been mounted.

Wire harnessing in the wings are installed and secured, as well as wing tip strobe and nav light wiring.

Wiring for the pitch servo has been routed and installed under the floor.

The engine management system wiring has been routed into the engine bay and connections are in progress.

Stay tuned for more action!

I just had to pay a visit to Six Pack Aero this afternoon to visit N22230...

The 172 Roll Servo Guard Service Bulletin has been complied with.

The pitch servo assembly will soon be attached to the belly of the airframe with AN hardware.

I forgot to snap a picture of all of the new wiring harnessing that have been routed to the instrument panel area.

Maybe, I will visit the shop in a couple of days!

Make sure the roll servo bridle cable clamps are torqued correctly - the torque specs have been changed from the original documentation. I had "another" shop do the install on mine, and they hosed it up.
Thank you for the heads up about this issue, for that is appreciated. I'll chat with the shop about the torque value that is applied to those clamps.
