I'd like the HDX to be able to send fuel computer information to my Avidyne IFD540. Maybe I'm just missing how to properly configure this, but I think this is currently missing.

My Skyview is so reliable and the autopilot is so smooth, I'd like to suggest a minor "wake up" function. If the autopilot is on and Skyview senses no control inputs for fifteen minutes or so, it wiggles the aileron servo a few times.

I operate on the opposite principle - the information needs to flow FROM the devices with small glass screens TO the device with big glass. I run an IFD440 because after programming the route, everything else happens on the HDX - no need to pay for more glass on the IFD that won't get used.

The IFD has superior flight planning capability, and there is no technical reason why the HDX can't put fuel information out in a compatible format for other things to use. I built a small black box to provide that ability, and use my IFD540 for all navigation and related tasks instead of the HDX, which is dedicated to flight instruments and map only.

I could see how with the tiny screen on the IFD440 that would be as preferable, but that's why many go for the IFD540.

If I was adding a 440, I might have the same mindset, but I already had a 540 and it now has less data on it because I installed my HDX. There doesn't seem to be any reason why this data shouldn't be able to get to the IFD.

That being said, maybe Dynon could confirm if fuel quantity and flow are already being sent over, maybe via ARINC 429 already. If that is the case, I should be making this suggestion on the Avidyne wish list.
