    They never turn green, so yellow is green if that helps. Where is your GTN antenna? I suspect it may be faulty and killing off the SV-GPS or just too close to each other. Must be 2' or more apart.

    You need to go into the BUGS menu and make sure VS is turned on and available. Someone may have accidentally turned the feature off. Bugs is found in PFD tools from memory.

    You need VS mode, with EXPERT selected as your AP. The AP works by a simple "Where do I want to go" and a "How do I get there" process. So for climb, set an altitude (where) and then use IAS mode (how) and away it goes. For descents use VS mode, or VNAV if the approach has vertical guidance...
