    Always shows a headwind

Kelly, I agree 100% about clean cuts using the correct tools. But how many aircraft is your sample of experience? Mine is quite a lot. I have zero Nylo fitting problems.......yes zero. I have in frustration with proper cutting etc.....and understand my industrial automation days used lots of...

    Surefly RPM Problem

And just for the record.......Mag drop in RPM is not the best method, although that was what we were all taught. Its origins are from the dark ages where no EMS existed. You should do your mag checks in flight at TOD. But if you want to do one on the ground, 1500-1700 RPM (no more) and so lean...

    Heated pitot faulty

Just because I have seen this before..........bad crimped connectors on the controller to pitot tube connection. I would strongly suggest replacing them, just to verify. So far I have never seen a faulty tube or controller. I am sure it can happen, but the connector fault I have seen on one...

Pitot covered (by icing), No ground speed displayed

You might want to test it some more. Put the pitot cover on and do a run down the runway, heck....I would take it for a fly, so long as there were no flapping tags to destroy things. You should be capable of flying without airspeed. If you are not confident in that perhaps stay on the runway.

Pitot covered (by icing), No ground speed displayed

From the manual; The SkyView artificial horizon display (attitude) is generated via a complex algorithm using a multitude of sensors as described in Table 1. In normal operation, SkyView uses airspeed to provide superior attitude accuracy. Should airspeed become unavailable due to inadvertent...

Pirch Trim Indicator running in reverse

My 20c worth.....always wire the trim indicators directly to the EMS module. There is a time delay that annoys me off the VPX. You could swap the 5V and GND to the servo potentiometer and trick it ;-) Otherwise refer the Dynon post above.

    D180 with Yellow screen

I have seen them on customer displays..........usually the answer is remove all power, wait a few seconds and turn it back on. Works fine. But maybe not every time :-)

    Always shows a headwind

And these push fitting, which Dynon supply too.......are the cause of all the leaks I find in the field. they are designed to operate under 90 PSI from an air compressor like in a factory or your home workshop. The best solution is simply buy the Dynon Static port and tube kit but throw away...

    Transponder and Pitot Cal.

Your IAS comes from the ADAHRS and will be the same on both screens. You should do a Pitot ZERO PRESSURE (read the manual) as this is important. In the Pitot Test mode (again read manual) there is an offset that can be dialled in. My experience with many ADAHRS and older D10/D100 units is...

    Software Update v16

Not at all. I cant say what I do and when and why, but lets just say that there are some upgrades coming to the experimental software (which I have been testing) that will be the direct result of the certified work. Be careful in what you believe....tomatoes will kill you ya know.

    D180 Superbright display

Yes it does, but make sure you have the screen brightness all the way up now. If you want to change it give them a call.

What works and what does not when adding a Skyview HDX to an existing system with a Skyview Classic

I don't know.....never tried it, but I am 100% sure you cant do it.

Network detect fails to detect one servo

Correction for you......There are two networks for redundancy and if one fails it will still work and you get a fault telling you which pair has the fault. The old D10/100 series only ran a single two wire network. SV has two x two wire networks. I suspect you could have a power supply problem.

    AP74 No recognition

Sounds like the DSAB wires are not correct. Maybe triple check. Jake Jansen is over in Aldinga, he might be worth paying a visit :-)

    CO2 detectors

Aithre have one and it is by far the best I have seen to date. The SV has a widget.

    EMS voltage pin out question.

    Pin 2 is your friend.

What works and what does not when adding a Skyview HDX to an existing system with a Skyview Classic

You will have two seperate systems. You could for example run the EMS on the classic, and run the GPS/AP etc on the HDX, but that would be the only practical solution. HDX is a completely different software suite and cannot be run on the same system network. Either dig deeper to buy the HDX x...

    D10 EMS

Why not buy the SV-EMS-220 module and solve the entire problem. All the harness plugs will go straight in to the SV system. Then sell the EMS-D10. With all you are doing this would be loose change in the big picture. Besides you get proper data storage for engine data which you dont get with...
