    VNAV coupling

One thing to remember ALWAYS intercept a GS from below. If you are an airline or commercial guy you will understand this but not everyone does.

    Sun Glare Concerns

DO NOT apply any "screen protectors" or film to your HDX or classic Skyview. There is usually a reason manufacturers ask you to remove the factory/shipping protector, and that is heat transfer. I have no data to prove the screen trouble from one such event of a customer, but the correlation was...

    VNAV coupling

A few things to consider. Trim speeds, These need to be reasonable so the auto trim is practical. Something like 100% trim speed at or below 100 knots, and 40% speed at say 135 knots. Next your pitch servo numbers can be set to these to see if they help. Torque 100% Sensitivity 16 or 17 Pitch...

What remote control grip functions do you have enabled?

I am not a fan of anything else but PTT, Trim, and AP disconnect. There is no compelling argument for any others, except on a tail wheel, like an RV8 where you might want engine start and hold the stick back while using your other hand for mixture. But if you do have a start isolate switch for...

    Pitot-Static for RANS S-19 Venterra?

It just requires a metal surface like an inspection cover. If you have that in the appropriate place you will be fine.

Autopilot disconnects after 60 seconds - new install, AFS panel

The AP servo positions are "just a number" and they are relative positions in steps from where the servo arm was when it was powered up compared to its current spot. Or something like that..... It is not important to you with your dilemma.

    HDX HDX Display Problem

Just power that screen up by itself, not the already updated screen. Then hold down the two right hand buttons and update the firmware on it. Then do a network discovery and ensure all items are up to date.

Vertical Airspeed in simple autopilot mode.

Yes.....one of your joystick knobs can be used RTFM.........Read The Factory Manual. And Yes I am serious, you should not be flying the plane if you have not read the manual at least enough to know where these functions are. I don't expect anyone to memorise the whole thing (I can't) but you...

Unable to Select NAV and TRK Modes on AP74

I do not have the 696 manual but you should find a serial output menu, this needs to be set to NMEA or Aviation as per the D100 manual (NMEA and a baud rate of 4800 will do it). I would start there. I would find it hard to believe it is just plug and play.

    Should I install dual GPS-2020s?

Probably would not bother me at all. VFR machines can get by quite happily with one SV-GPS, and lets face it, you have a smart phone or iPad too should the highly unlikely happen. I would also say with some reasonable experience, the GPS is the most reliable part of the system.

    Glideslope tracking

OK....I did not see it just the trim flag......Mind you, if it trims for 3-4 seconds it stops, if it needs more trim you will need to tap the button and reset it.

    Glideslope tracking

I see you do not have the trim wired through the AP panel. This should be done and then set the trim for max at or below 110-115 and about 35-40% at say 130 knots. I know thats a bit of work, but it helps a lot with the AP. In the interim you need to keep it in trim as per the trim flags.

Heated Pitot / AOA install in RV 9

Yes......think ahead. Every time you do something think about the poor bastard that has to repair/replace etc. It might be you! :) I love removing wing tanks too.......(said nobody ever)

    Glideslope tracking

Take photos of your current settings, then go try mine. You can always go back. The next version I expect will have the extra tuning available for both GPS and VOR/ILS approaches, and this seems to be the trick. But for now try mine. See how it goes. Also you want to be doing 95-120 knots, and...

    Mic gain problems

Maybe your headset? Wiring? My experience has been with customer installs that the SV - COM's have been way above their pay grade. So something is not right. Usually grounding, so check that first.

Heated Pitot / AOA install in RV 9

Mount it on the outer inspection cover. Run tubes through snap bushings or run a conduit for tubes and wiring behind the spar.

    Glideslope tracking

As Dynon posted above there is a massive improvement coming. I have been playing with the new version and made even more ground. I will publish the full set when the new software comes out. For now here are some improvements you might like to try, especially for turbulence. Torque 100...

    Autopilot not getting altitude data

No, its not an acquisition of data problem. Sounds like an offline servo, or somehow it has lost it on the network. Do a network discovery, make sure you have a pitch servo in the network and then try to engage it while in the hangar.
