swatson999 makes a very valid point. But to answer the question, go into SETUP > PFD SETUP > G METER, as shown on the attached screen shot, to adjust the G Meter variables.

You should read the HDX Pilots User Guide chapter 8 on Autopilot Operation. Under the heading "Skyview Autopilot Control Panel Operation" on page 8-30: "When SkyView HDX is set for Simplified Controls, the buttons on the AP module are inactive"

I think what you are needing is to add the IAS bug to the pop up menu when a button is pushed (opening the BUGS Knob Function Menu). This procedure is explained in section 4-3 of the Pilot's Users Guide.
