It does not currently interface to STEC products. Your latter statement is true though - your navigator can provide GPSS input to the AP direction (without SkyView's involvement)

The obstacle database is included in the FAA data. But yes, you can download the whole software package, but you do need to load it to both screens. If you have ethernet connected, which allows the databases to sync, you only need the aviation/obstacle database download. It's a lot smaller...

So for experimental/LSA, we don't explicitly make those claims in our documentation. But perhaps the best evidence is that the EFIS-D10A model is certified as part of the the SkyView HDX STC that carries no operating restrictions in either IFR or night operations. Does that help?

You'd only install that if you have our AOA/Pitot installed. Else, just leave it capped. Note that in a certified aircraft, you do need to keep the factory pitot for IAS. In this application, the Dynon probe is ONLY used for AOA.
