    Whenever I install antennas I always use a star washer under the head of the screws (only need to do that on one) & the nut as they bite into the metal to give good 'bonding'.

    What make of headset ? Did you try another headset to determine whether it's the headset mic ? What radio are you using ? Did you test without the GoPro connected to the audio?

    D 180 screen is too dark to read

    DS will probably chime in here but my guess is the unit will have to be looked at by them. As for it still running when you power off - it should still do that normally for 30 seconds as the internal backup battery has its own power/grounds or are you saying the D180 stays on longer than that ?

    More than likely not possible in an RV 7/9 panel, just not the real estate available normally in addition to the 2x SVD1000's.
