As I understand it ATC here will not & are not able to give separation (via ADSB) unless the ADSB OUT is done with a Tso 145/146 'box', any other Gps is useless in that case.  ALL IFR aircraft here will have to be compliant in Feb 2017 with the Tso 145/146 system. The AOPA (Australia) homepage...

Just enable the VP-X AMPS widget in the EMS setup page, if you want you can also use the Dynon shunt & enable it too  ;) One can show system draw & the other Alternator output if you want or other combinations. Jake J

Just a thought - did you have the Skyview on while charging the ships battery ?  After the battery test you should charge the backup battery by leaving the Skyview on to enable the backup charging via the SV - just charging the aircraft battery without the SV on will not do it  :) I think it...

That's a coincidence, I'd asked a similar question directly to Dynon 2 days ago but looking at the rectangular 'radio stack' solution. With the amount of 'Glass' now being used, & therefore taking up a lot of panel space, sometimes there is little room left for a 3 1/8" unit - just my opinion...

AJ With what you're seeing I'd replace both male & female connectors with the AMP brand ones just to be sure, those temps are not in fact true but are as a result of the poor quality spade connectors - aluminium melts at about 6-700 C  ;D Jake J

Eric My guess is the DX was an experiment towards making their panel mount com, the market has more than enough handhelds & the margins are not that high. Now, IMO, Dynon have a good suite of panel mount units & probably just want to concentrate development in that area - just MY Opinion & not...

Sop for some of us, because we care & being pilots also we emphasise with the inconvenience of a breakdown away from home. Dynon have always been impressive, IMO, with their after sales service, that's why I promote them & use & install their products. ;) Jake J

Ron What airframe type do you have, composite or metal ? Coax , is it RG58 or RG400 ? Antenna brand ? Was anything done with antenna cable or avionics recently before this 'event' ? Jake J
