    EGT Normalise mode

Who else here thinks that this would be an outstanding safety feature? Maybe most do not realise why this is so. It would take the Dynon EMS and skyview to the top of the tree in terms of engine monitors. No other I know of could compare then. This is serious stuff!! What you say Dynon?

    Rv10 AP settings?

670 hours on our RV10 Had this problem before. My personal opinion based on many hours in thermally regions as follows. RV10 Roll servo is best as a SV52, connected on the middle hole, and set at 90% SV52T.....not that it exists 8-) but a SV42T and set at 100% These may help. Not sure...

Skyview EMS and IO-540 P-Lead Resistors

I have been down this road with a perfectly serviceable (according to the mag shop) slick that was giving very high erratic readings at 2700 RPM, flickering to 3800 etc, and no amount of resistance would fix it. Just on one mag, the right one in this case. We found there were other issues...

    Oil Temp fluctuation

Yep, we have it too, only a few degrees though :-/

    EGT Sensor Problem

Looks like some loose connections. As Jake and I have both found, the pins in the connector are pulled out as the harness bends in the connector. The EGT cable is stiff and does not bend easily. We have had this on our 6 probe setup. Can you do me a favour ..... use degrees F :o Even us...

EMS10 oil temp over reading in Jabiru 3300

How can you be sure the "other sensor" and gauge are correct? On the jab engine the oil temp is in the sump. It depends where you pick up the temperature from, how well it earths and so on. I can say that all the Dynon sensors and equipment on our Lycoming IO540 are pretty spot on and within...

    EGT Sensor Problem

The EGT is OK, but at that MP and RPM....what is really going on? The sensor will cope with those temps no problem, a TIT is 1600F + so don't stress. So does your electronic fuel injection have a good weapon against detonation??? Like it should.? Something like PRISM for example? This is not...

    More twisted pair questions

You can buy shielded twisted pair from most avionics suppliers. Use that, far less trouble than rolling your own!

Take your turn rate to ZERO. 0.0 Trust me

    D6 EFIS in Warrior?

Morons hey! As you said....Go Figure! Wy is CASA, normally so anal about stuff accepting of Dynons as backups. The FAA with head in sand...or another orifice. This is a major safety benefit for little cost, and no negative I can see. Stupid is as stupid does!

    Pitch Setting Help for Skyview

For a start, make sure you are using the inner most hole on the lever arm without the arm going over centre. That is the middle or inner one if you can. After that start with the gains. As for roll, set the turn rate to 0.0 and the may angle to say 25. DB :)

Using D10A as Encoder in Canada

Yep Often the case. I used GE Aviation here in Brisbane, these guys do the big guys stuff. The tech was so impressed with the accuracy of the Dynon that it was better than the calibrated test rig he had, and it was only calibrated the day before. You are only required to demonstrate meeting...

    D6 EFIS in Warrior?

So does a D6/D10A meet this and is therefore able to be installed?

    D6 EFIS in Warrior?

It is allowed in Australia. Our backward thinking CASA have for once been very forward thinking onthi matter. For a backup in pvt ops it is allowed, commercial ops it is allowed but you still need all the regular stuff. If the FAA only followed our lead forth is one life would be great with a...

    D-10 fuel calibration

Because the float hits the top of the tank at 16 gallons most likely. This is normal, and after you have burned off the first 4-5 gallons the float will start dropping to show you the correct amount. You are interested in the last half of the tank after all 8-) My 113L tanks stop at 90L by...

Download the D100 or D10 manual and follow the compass calibration procedure EXACTLY. I suspect your compass cal has never been done. ;)

    Single Lever Power

Sorry, I thought I had addressed this previously, or maybe it was elsewhere, and not here, so my mistake if so. I use this as a classic example of knowing what to make of your engine monitor and why understanding things is very important. This is not stuff I can teach here in a few posts. This...

    Single Lever Power

I see they note that the killer application is the knock sensor. And they are on the money with the reasons why the auto style never was going to work! Now like I said before PRISM has been around a long time but not released to the market yet. It was developed in response to no lead. But the...

    Single Lever Power

Indeed they are. I saw this engine a couple of years ago. And it is a step in the right direction by including knock sensors. TCM tried to do it without. If you ever see the GAMI Prism system and the Dyno stand which is running a Chieftan engine, they intruduce detonation quite severely, which...

    Uncommanded turns

I think you are getting a thermal upset, or some turbulence induced wing drop, the servo is asked to oppose it but the torque is insufficient and thinks you are overriding it, so it sits there in slip. You need to check the following. Torque set to 100% Aileron linkage is fixed to the inner...
