OAT via HS34 in Celcius ???

Somewhere on here I asked that question, or by email, hence why it went there. The comment was all analogues were the same as EMS. The interesting thing is that the D180 see's the OAT accurately. It just will not pass to the D100. By the way the D100 is the Master. Now as for changing a couple...

    Fuel Flow Sensor

Glen Another thought, unless you live at high altitude, and you lean for takeoff, 15GPH is not enough fuel flow, unless you have only 150HP. You should average about 1GPH for every 10HP at takeoff power at sea level. You might want to check that out!

OAT via HS34 in Celcius ???

OK Did as you say, the EFIS is set to N, the GP4 input is OAT and sensor one. The OAT is correct on the D180 but as this is mostly used for EMS functions we do not look at this. The D100 is still not showing the OAT from the D180/HS34. I did a reconfig of the network, but it does not show an...

OAT via HS34 in Celcius ???

Ahhhhhhhhhhh now this is interesting! I did notice today that the D180 OAT is correct, while the EFIS OAT was randomly weird. I will do what you suggest and I am sure that will fix it. Maybe I have missed this point but these sorts of things do not stand out in the manuals, so thank you! So...

OAT via HS34 in Celcius ???

Hi Dynon We are having a great success with our D100/D180/HS34/AP74, so far all is good. This question maybe a thing we are doing wrong, but I am not seeing where. We have the two wire OAT, out on the wing, into GP1 on the HS34. The OAT sensor type we think is set correct, otherwise it would...

    re-AP climb&descend

Well Dynon...... I am very happy with my full suite of Dynon gear! Its working great, aprt from a OAT issue which I will post elsewhere as others may have had this too! :-? The altitude hold is at times a bit porpose like, so will play some more, however the issue of different climb and...

Why is an HS34 needed to enable GPS steering?

Look on the bright side, they are still around and supportin gsales and service! ;) And you get some more digital and analogue I/O points on the DSAB..... its not all bad! :)

Erroneous oil pressure and temperature indications

Re: Erroneous oil pressure and temperature indicat Most likely a difference in ground levels. in other words a difference of potential between the Zero Volts around your airframe. Check very carefully to have good clean and strong earth connections and all items 0v references tied to the one...

    Dynon EFIS 5.1 software bug

It is a very smart move, and usually prevents you from being sued for some stupid thing. Its very un-American, and these days almost the same here, as usually, like with hospitals, if you admit mistakes happen, be open and helpful to he patient and family, it costs way less than the first round...

Trim and flap sensors for EMS

Gooday John The Ray allen trim servo's have a built in trim indicator potentiometer, this can be used for the analogue inputs on the D120/180. You take from memory the 5v supplyand feed it to the potentiometer on the trim sensor (read the manuals or test it) and the other side to GND and the...

    Problems after Update 5.1

This point should be in BOLD, never a truer statement................ On top of that, TSO/certified/whatever doesn't mean it's perfect. Aspen, Garmin, Chelton, and Avidyne have all had serious issues with their products in the past that have prevented their use in IFR at times. One great...

    EGT Probes burned through

Properly run LOP might be a better idea.... its cooler all round. Dynon have in their neighbourhood a man called John Deakin, they should and would do well by getting him into the fold so to speak. He would love to see what you do and you never know, he writes a pretty good article that people...
