    Twisted Pairs

It would work....but I would NEVER do it. In my opinion you should use flexible multi strand wire and a STP (Shielded Twisted Pair) is always better. Aircraft grade STP is available from Aircraft Spruce P/N 11-04477

    Another AP Performance - Review

Yep I would agree.... they work well. I have just replaced a dodgey rod end eye on the elevator servo link, which had lots of slop in it, and also the shear screw problem (I thought this one had been factory done....perhaps not) and I expect to report even better results. I keep harping on...

    Dynon's product return policy

Steve, I am not surprised at all, I have a returns policy which I am not getting tougher on as I find more customers use and abuse the privillege.....and I doubt your situation is anything like that, but from a business owners perspective, returns are very costly processes and often if not in...

    Wind vector on D100

I have to concurr with Kevin's comments on ensuring your static is a real and true static. Our RV10 has had the same issues and with the TAS reading 9 knots too low at say the 170 knot range it would result in an error at low levels of say 130 feet and still around 100 feet at higher levels, I...

    High Fuel Pressure Reading (99.9)

I also have the same sensor and an RV10 with an IO540, I get a different problem with low spikes and it goes away when you put the boost pump on. I believe it is related to vapour locks in the pump or in the fuel pressure line from the pump due to heating from the engine in climb. once in the...

    AP74/DSAB pins

Interesting point..... I had a large and complex Dynon and garmin IFR set up, wired a whole RV-10 with all manner of goodies and the only wiring bug on commissioning was the AP74 DSAB......and at the time I just swapped the pins and it was easy to fix, I just blamed myself for being a dill and...

    OAT not working after 5.1.1

Hmmmm, sounds familiar! You need to reonfigure perhaps? If so and your OAT is on an input from the HS34 you may have the bug I found. The fix is to follow the instructions DS put up on this thread. Might be your solution. http://dynonavionics.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1246280919/9#9...

    Track deviation

Ok I will try to remember to turn on the data logging in the D100 and see if it does it again. Mind you we have the compass calibrated better now. I am doing around 15 hours of flying in the next week so there will be plenty of heading mode options to play with.

    Track deviation

As you may have seen so far from my comments we have had a very good result with our Dynon system. We did also experience this roll to the left of about 30 degrees for no apparent reason. It did it twice in one half hour. We were in Heading mode and with an ALT captured. Also did it once while...

    Flightdek D180 RPM readout problems

Not as easy as I say......... speaking from experience here, we had the PPR set wrong (not sure why may have been default) and at idle the values looked about right but when at takeoff power it was a long way off. If you have 2 V 1.5 its not so obvious. ........and on the bigger Lycs the 100K...

    Flightdek D180 RPM readout problems

Is there an echo in here............ ;D reposted........ Download the installation manual and read about setting up the sensors, and the TACH. If you go to setup/sensors and TACH you can set the number of pulses per rev. This is most likely set at 2 or 3 or something, and it may need to be...

    Overall Impressions of Autopilot Performance

Well I have to say that once we mastered the HS34 and AP74 and set up the settings, the system works very well indeed in our RV-10. Of course, you guessed what my RV-10 partner complained about having been a B744 captain......... no VNAV. So there you go, bloody marvellous system.....just...

OAT via HS34 in Celcius ???

Can confirm the DS procedure works! Apart from the odd undocumented feature..... this system including the auotpilot in some moderate chop is working well! Happy RV-10 campers!!!! :D All we need is the AP76 one day and it will be perfect! Thanks again to the Dynon tech folk. We nutted this...
