    Transponder not showing active

and .... don't enter ZK- just enter the rest of the rego. Your 'Hex' code was probably supplied with the original registration paperwork.

SV Intercom 2S plus two comm radios

Maybe it's too late however why not just buy the PAR200B Audio Panel (PS-Engineering) as it is a radio(Trig unit remote mounted) Intercom, has blutooth etc, etc. When it's combined with the 430W you'll have an awesome setup with minimal use of panel space ;)

    Compatibility of other manufacturers probes

Shemp - if you are using the Vans fuel gauges & pairing them with the Dynon them that won’t work & why bother if it could, you just have more unnecessary things to fail potentially. I‘d trust a calibrated fuel flow computer before a simple cheap float/ gauge system any day . Fuel computer...

    Fuel Gauge misreading?

As indicated above - many aircraft gauges do not read the total fuel quantity for various reasons associated with the sensor placement & type etc. Basically it's the readings in the lower levels that's important & would get my attention. Although regulations in some places require the...

    EMS / FT60 voltage issue

"Need to empty and refuel the tanks to see the diffrence in calculation ;)" ? Surely you meant a different method ? Fuel Computer cal is done by burning fuel etc ;)

    ADAHRS "T" location?

Steve SR - FWIW - are you using or have considered using the SV-MAG-236 remote magnetometer ? you may need to due all the ferris metal parts in the area of the ADAHRS -200.

    GPS source from Garmin Transponder

Hope this helps - Position source for ADSB purposes can be 1 . Via SV Port 5 using the SV2020 antenna & SV-261 Txpdr. 2. External GPS using an RS232 output of ADSB + (different to ‘std’ GPS signal) or similar, direct to pin 3 of a SV-261 (aka Trig) Transponder. 3. Or use a totally separate...

And…. you should remove the resistors, they are not used or needed with the p- mags. ;)

    EGT & CHT probe failures

Cesar & Spert - please start another thread. Cesar’s OP has morphed from EGT to GS etco_O. changing threads like that makes it hard for others using the search function to get all the information possible.;)

    EGT & CHT probe failures

Rhino - fair enough, however I’m travelling in your country at present & can only remember the part # of the TE female crimp connector- it is 640911-1. an update - the male tab connector is p/n 66023-2.

    EGT & CHT probe failures

FYI - the ONLY ones I use are as mentioned in post #14. IF anyone still has the single conductor wire (ie 1 strand of wire) in the harness or the probe then you most probably will have ‘issues’ with temperature readings. the post above is my trade secret #1 ;) # 2 re the single strand of wire...

    EGT & CHT probe failures

Spert - I have never seen the need to use the OLC’s however I also believe they work well as do the other ‘push on‘ types I mentioned - you won’t be disappointed. Btw - I also use contact cleaner on the connectors before I crimp ( probably good for the OLC’s too) as we’re measuring millivolts &...

    EGT & CHT probe failures

SZPflyer - your experience = Four out of four of my Dynon D1000 Classic's EGT Sensors (#10-01169, $39.00/ea+ at Aircraft Spruce) failed at various times, all under 300 hours TTSN. The sensors were properly installed (four inches below cylinder head); at time of each failure there was almost...

    EGT & CHT probe failures

Spert - everyone of the coloured connectors you displayed & the pink ones are s…# not my opinion - just fact when used for thermocouple wires, the only crimp type that work are the AMP, or TE brand or the OLC or the 2 pin dedicated thermo couple connectors & I’ve never seen the need to use...

    D1000 in RV12 behaving strange - freezing

Janekom -Not sure what caused your situation however 1 of my customers had to ship his unit to Dynon for a fix - probably best that you contact Dynon Support.

    Auto trim

You could pre empt the configuration change by manually using the hat switch as I don’t think there is a simple way of doing it automatically . Just a manual ‘blip’ of trim should be sufficient .

    What's a CHT Thermocouple's Failure Mode

Swapping probes is a good cheap test however the 'fault' is most likely with the probe to harness connection. try this simple check - spray the connectors to the probes & then re crimp the connectors. Ps - if you have the pink supplied connectors then cut them off & throw them out (I always do...
