Colin The filters should work, I have a policy of fitting them to all the composite (including Glastar/Sportsman) aircraft that I work on. ;) Jake J

Sure wish you the best here. If it is a bad ground, as you suggested, I'd be checking the crimped on terminals as they can give problems that are sometimes not immediately apparent. Jake J

Now I understand, you have a Q200 - I know of these (a friend had one). Is there anywhere else suitable you could install the sender ? Or get another better/good quality sender so you don't have to repeat this again ? Jake J

What DS is saying is that the mounting angle or tilt for eg, say 2 degree of the EFIS, is the same for the Magnetometer ie 2 degree off horizontal so that it is in effect 90 degree to the face of the EFIS - hope I've made this is clear enough ? Jake J

I understand, however it's not hard to clamp a ground wire to the sensor, have done it to many aircraft including my own ;) Jake J

Do you have to have the GRT unit ? The Dynon (VDO?) never seems to fail. Jake J

It's those round things at the bottom both sides of screen, can be joystick as well ;) Jake J

Are you using RG400 coax or equivalent ? Jake J

I have seen this symptom before - The simplest check is with the crimped terminal onto the sensor, see if the wire is moving inside it as sometimes you can get a poor crimp. Soldering the wire will make it more a more solid connection. ;) Jake J

FWIW and others should note - please remove the black USB cable & use the supplied cable in the filter kit, not sure if this will fix your problem but should be done anyway as per Dynon instructions. ;) Jake J

Wayne This is not practical when you think about it - are you asking to be notified by email ? and then you changed your email address but forgot to notify them. The 'industry' convention is for installers to make sure THEY have the latest version :) Jake J
