    No Mode C

Good work. Happy flying. See you at CRF5 some Sunday for breakfast.

    RPM double

You can set Skyview - in the hardware calibration I think, or you can set the P-Mags to one or two pulses. You don't need the resistors.

    No Mode C

You need to get rid of the converter and all the wiring (pins 3-12) except: SV Port 4 TX (pin 10) to GTX327 pin 19 and SV Port 4 RX (pin 9) to GTX327 Pin 20. GTX Pin 25 should connect to a SV GND wire. See figure C2 in the GTX327 manual and pretend that the GNS480 is Skyview. Ignore all the...

    VP-X Screen Organization

I renamed the circuits in my VP-X to better organize them in Skyview. It makes it easier to find the circuit as they now have subgroups. What I didn't try was renaming the circuits I didn't us to see if I could use them as separators in the list.

Blew a 3A Fuse duing engine testing

In my understanding fuses, breakers and solid state devices like VP-X all do the same thing. They protect the wire from over current. If the current is to much for the wire the protection device will open the circuit. The myth is that you can reset it once. However, if you think the problem is...

Certificate for Nav and Obstacle Data

I agree with Tomyfly. I don't understand the logic of building in the cost and charging the users that don't want the option. Software is no different then hardware as far as effort and cost of developing. Just because you can't hold it in your hand like the SV-EMS-220 or SV-GPS-250 doesn't mean...

    Fuel level configuration

Just an update on the Princeton capacitive fuel level I ordered. They sent a five set point one but we got that figured out and they replaced it with a one set point. The one set point means that there is no calibration for the fuel probe. Just empty the tank and press the button to calibrate...

    VP-X Screen Organization

Works for me. I can organize them by changing the name or numbering them. :)

    VP-X Screen Organization

When I bring up the VP-X screen it seems to take a while to find the circuit or device I want. I realize the naming of the devices is one method of organizing the list, but I don't think the naming is alphabetical. The three items at the top of the screen are Starter, EFIS and Alt Field. Is...

    D6 EFIS in Warrior?

I just had a conversation with a guy that imported a Mooney into Canada recently. He had to remove the AirGizmo and GPS396 from his panel as required by the import inspection. Go figure eh?

Using D10A as Encoder in Canada

My GTX327 transponder is fed altitude by my Skyview. I had it checked by a shop at CYXE and the question of TSO source didn't come up. I'm going to an EAA seminar this weekend in High River and will bring it up.

    Two Fuel Flow Sensors

I have a fuel injection system on my o320 with a return fuel and installed two "Red Cube” FT-60 flow transducers according to table 34 in the install manual. One cube is upstream from the injectors and one is downstream just before the regulator and the return to the tank. I have D37p14 named...

    v3.3 audio

Update - I moved the ZAON power wire to a separate pin on VP-X. I left the LEMO power on the same VP-X pin as the PM1200. I have a little background noise (hiss) but very little from the iCOM A210. I have more background noise when I turn on the PM1200 but also very little. Turning off Skyview...

    ZAON XRX Pinout

Success - sort of. I contacted ZAON. They advised: I did get it working but I probably should have used a little more patience then elaborate testing. The shielded wire I used was a two wire shielded pair normally used for headsets. I got the idea from P-Mags. They insist on using shielded wire...

    Fuel Flow Transducer

The backup battery for the Skyview keeps everything except the AP and XPNDR working (for and hour I believe). A backup battery system is nice, but if your electrical system is at fault and you have to shut it down, the Skyview including the ADAHRS and EMS will still work on the Skyview battery...

    D6 EFIS in Warrior?

What I get out of that is if the equipment isn't certified it's not acceptable to mount them in the panel even if they are labeled as supplemental. Fair enough.

    D6 EFIS in Warrior?

That's an interesting question that came up here also. Is it any different then mounting a handheld GPS in the panel with an AirGizmo panel dock? or sticking a clock in a convenient place. Is there anything that states that you can't mount something on your panel providing you already have all...

    Single Lever Power

Thanks for the article. Lots of good stuff in there. But no matter how you say it, it's electronic ignition - part of single lever power. If the statistics are correct, 80% of GA can run on 87 octane and don't have a problem with detonation while running on 100LL and won't have running 94UL...
