Which wires get twisted from Skyview Audio to the intercom

Left & right audio is a twisted pair - sometimes stuff happens with manuals.

D-180: calculation of fuel left in both tanks using one FF transducer

Fuel level gauges are used normally to determine quantity in tank/s, Fuel Flow is computing fuel used (plus other calculations) in total. Any particular reason to do it differently to what is universally done ?

Splitting DSAB wires to two servos

This is what I do, depending on the aircraft type & location of the ADAHRS - Buy 1 x a/pilot servo harness for the roll servo & use it to go all the way to the instrument panel area. Aft mounted pitch servo & ADAHRS - Use a local airframe ground point if it’s an aluminium airframe. Run the 20g...

    EDC-10A harness

The 4 conductor cable is twisted by default, I use it sometimes for the EDC.

Which wires get twisted from Skyview Audio to the intercom

It’s actually 13 & 31 that are joined together & 30 is the audio ground. Installation manual rev AD v15.3 page 4.33 refers. Is that what you’re after?

    Oil pressure spikes

I’d be checking the pressure relief valve first, maybe the vernatherm unit after that - those are the easier items to look at. After that it becomes complicated.

    Oil pressure spikes

Could be the sensor, however I’ve never seen or heard of a problem with the Kavlico oil pressure units. Do the symptoms appear during every flight ? I guess there’s no need to ask re connections including the socket tension in the 3 pin connector on the sensor ? Any other stuff going on with...

    CHT and EGT spikes

If the EMS is an early manufactured unit then that may need to go back to Dynon however the ‘spikes’ won’t impact on the system. There are ‘filtered’ dsub connectors ( installed in series- I only have the 37 & 9 pin ones, will give them to you if needed) that may fix the issue. Hopefully that...

    Good Morning Everyone!

Fantastic ! Great to have the Forum up & running again - a very different look & easy to work around. Even now my withdrawal symptoms are receding :). RTFM, I'm also guilty however look at it in this context - many of us willingly volunteer our help & guidance to troubleshoot real & perceived...

    oil temp rapid fluctuation

    # 1 - with any engine sensor or device connected to ANY ems system is to use the system grounds, even if you have to double up on a ground wire.  This may not apply in your situation however it is a good general rule IMO & experience. There may be other causes for your situation but the above is...

How to connect SERVO disengage stick button [ch8265][ch65039][ch10067]

Correct ;). The on screen calibration process will sort all that out.

How to connect SERVO disengage stick button [ch8265][ch65039][ch10067]

The SV-NET-SERVO cable is used for the servos however the SV-NET- SPL is not a splitter cable for the servos, it is for the SV network system only, & for all the other SV network devices for example the ems module, ADAHRS, knob panel, autopilot panels etc But not the servos. The wires for the...

    Tach RPM unstable

I’d power down the ADSB unit & see if the problem persists, if it does then it should be moved further away from the other devices like the D10.

How to connect SERVO disengage stick button [ch8265][ch65039][ch10067]

Please read the install manual carefully & DO NOT use the Sv-net-spl with the servos. Why ? Most importantly the wiring is different eg power & grounds are 20 awg as opposed to the 22 awg in the SPL & each servo power needs to go to its own circuit breaker. If you read the instructions you’ll...

    SV-AP Panel Breaker Rating

Three things here come to my mind here - 1. Your last sentence shows you don’t understand the ‘experimental aviation’ world - litigate if you think you can be successful. 2. I don’t know of any avionics manufacturer who hasn’t had an issue with at least one of the products they have produced...

    SV-AP Panel Breaker Rating

Troubleshooting via email or phone is not easy, especially if one does not know the level of ‘experience’ (distinctly different from level of training) of the other person.  You need to go down to a basic level of explanation when troubleshooting & I usually state ( with phone calls) that...

    Monopole vs Blade antenna [ch10067][ch10067][ch10067]

Blade type is electrically &, surprisingly to some, more aerodynamic than the dipole type. The dipole type rod is too brittle & can easily break - I’ve had 1 customer break 2 of them before he got smart ;)
