Most likely a bad electrical connection of the shunt to D180 wires particularly check out the crimps & fuses at the shunt end.

From the ULPower website I’m figuring that you use an output from the system eg ECU to do that [ch128521]

Only if you are going IFR (in my country) however if you want to just have ADSB OUT then you can comply without using an IFR navigator, just use a capable Gps antenna like the cost effective Dynon 2020 (using Dynon SV & Transponder) or other systems available on the market.

You could delete the database & just have Hybrid VFR maps if you want. Thats what I have done in the past- maybe someone will chime in with a better way.

Just use any of the EMS grounds as THE ground for the EMS - I think pin 3 is the ‘designated’ one but it doesn’t matter as they are all connected internally.

agree. interference checks are supposed to be carried out with avionics in IFR installations (according to the install manuals) too however I'm not sure that many people do that :)

Like Steve indicates, I'd be checking to see if the 'dropout' happens just after transmitting on the Com.
