SW utopia, it fixes every problem :D Seriously though - changing gains etc could be the solution & worth a try. I'd write down the existing settings to use them in case you decide to go the route of disconnecting the static line.

One troubleshooting method I use is to disconnect the static system (vented to cabin) to see if the static port design/location has an impact on a/pilot pitch performance. I'd also tune the Alt Hold while the static is vented to cabin. HTH :)

Contact DS directly with the serial number of the EMS - they have a solution however it will need to be returned via an RMA #.

Rob - its in the install manual, you need a serial to USB cable which is connected to the supplied (in the original Dynon supplied wiring harness) 9pin Dsub connector.

IMO the RG400 is so good with its own shielding that you do not need to do any special separate routing,I actually sometimes bundle it with other wires, other than #10 awg or heavier, without any issues in many different types of airframes. In the old days when RG58 was the standard coax then...

I just had a 'noise' problem with an RV when the RH taxi light was turned on, turn it or #2 Com off & noise went away. In this case the solution was to clean ( nothing else was done) the headset plugs & the 'noise' disappeared. Go figure, those electron critters do weird things sometimes. Oh...
