Bruce -- another way could be to have a switch between the 2 Dynon Gps's, that would free up a port. I'd have 3 of the wires parelled up with only the Gps Tx wires as the switched ones ;) HTH Jake J

Does anyone have info on using the VMS capacitance sensors with the Skyview system, please ? I did do a search but results were not definitive enough. Jake J

Just an observation here -- with aircraft that have 'curved' panels, ie Jabiru & Lightning etc I usually make sure the wings are level first (digital level & wing jacks) then make a level line on the panel for a reference point. ;) HTH Jake J

Hey Trev It may not be the filter replacement you describe, depends on other things too including serial number of unit , it may be the EMS module too - best bet is to contact support direct IMO ;) Jake J

Glad you got it sorted - it would be nice for all to know which 'fix' did it - one way to find out is to use a multimeter to check continuity between the tip of antenna & centre socket where BNC pin goes in, please ;) Jake J

DS may have a better solution however a simple (read inexpensive) test would be to fit a clamp on ferrite at the Com antenna end, available from RadioShack or other electronics supplier. Jake J

If you had not changed anything & the system was working well it could be the coax or antenna, it's same as what can happen with any transmitting system - you can receive on a simple piece of wire but to transmit properly you must have a 'tuned' antenna. What type & model of transponder antenna...
