That (black screen) may indicate you have lost power to it. Due to the characteristics of the VP-X I'd use a test light between the pwr/gnd pins on the SV connector to determine if there is power there when master is on. I always set both SVs as "always on" in the VPX. Jake J

Yes, that is the correct AS&S p/n if you are installing it between the Fuel Control Unit & distributor on top of engine  ;)  But why not buy it from Dynon as they give us so much support & we can at least support them too ? Jake J

Mark You probably have done this but I'd check to see if the serial port settings etc are the same on both units. It may not make a difference but that scenario, with different settings, sure created various issues with a customers dual SV setup until we figured it out by phone :) Jake J

Antennas close (close as 1 ft) to the ADAHRS works on all installations I've done on RV's, the skin is doing it's job of shielding ;) JakeJ

What's the point ? - there can be heaps of variables here & without being there & seeing the work it'll be just a lot of conjecture without a definitive result. I rather just spend time building or flying :) Jake J

Richard The harness is a 'generic' one which was developed with the Legacy units for updating etc, I just remove them ;) Jake J

EricR Gps track offsets are encouraged here by our Aviation Authority, many people do & I've been using it for years. Much harder to have a collision when everyone uses a small track offset between commonly used waypoints & tracks ;) Jake J

Not sure what the issue is here - as it stands the EDC has 4 wires & the OAT adds another 3, they all can be accommodated within the 9pin dsub connector. Jake J

This problem can happen once in a while, I'd try increasing the resistor value in 10 or 20K increments but don't go higher than 120K - there is a device coming onto the market that eliminates this issue however more testing is needed, I'll report my results with this device later  ;) Jake J

Bruce I think the auto plugs idea is a red herring ;) I've been running dual p-mags in a Glasair for (composite airframes can sometimes be problematic with EMI/RF ) 70 + hrs without any problems, however I also haven't installed my dual dynons yet. Jake J

Good to get the feedback, thanks  ;) We ALL make mistakes sometimes & it's easily done too  :) Having done the same thing once I now always use a permanent marker to identify each connector, especially the J1 & J2 on audio panels as they both use pins  ;) Jake J
